RE: Which do you prefer most to do alone with your partner?

I lived in Margate (Broward) for a few years back in the early 60s. Back then there were a lot of canals and ponds, all kinds of wild life. Our house was on the edge of beautiful woods, people used to hunt and fish. All developed now right to the edge of the Everglades. I still love Johnathon Dickenson State Park. Don't think that's the same any more. Used to camp there together.

RE: Which do you prefer most to do alone with your partner?

I've known him for almost 50 years. The marriage didn't last but the friendship did. We are still very close friends.

RE: Which do you prefer most to do alone with your partner?

Crocs in Nova Scotia? We do have them here in Florida. Big Gators, Saltwater and Nile crocs. and some venomous snakes around the lakes.

I used to love to go Hobicatting with my Ex, only room for two, had a lot of fun just two of us!

RE: Power wheels

Can you actually change the horn to a fart sound? That surely would get attentionrolling on the floor laughing

RE: Power wheels

I think in the next decade or so the infrastructure for these cars will catch up making them more practical. There are only 13 charging stations in my County. I think the rate varies $.40 per minute. Not sure how long it takes. You can get a rebate for installing one in your home as well from the government around $100.
I think there are some concept cars that are charged by solar panels? Weather might be a problem with that.

RE: Power wheels

I helped my ex look for one. Hybrid is a better choice especially if you live in a cold climate and plan road trips. Cold temps lower the range. The Tesla seems to keep average range but at nearly $50k it better last long enough to reach "antique status" as far as I'm concerned and the car is so UGLY!

RE: The 70s

Was just listening to these...RIP Dear, dear Leon...Miss you!!

RE: The wizard of OZ

There was a song back in 1963, "Louie Louie", by the Kingsmen that created a lot of controversy about the lyrics. Supposedly some of the lyrics were considered "dirty" at the time. I think but not sure it was banned on some places. I don't know if they ever figured out just what the lyrics were.

RE: The wizard of OZ

Maybe you can finally solve the old debate on what the "Winkie" soldiers were actually chanting.

"All we own we owe her"?
"Oh we love the old one"?
"Oh we loath the old one"?
"O-EoYo-Eeo-Yah"?

RE: CS Juke Box 2022

Thank you!

RE: CS Juke Box 2022

Found this song while watching a "gardening hacks" video. Never heard of the artist. Becoming very popular on YT according to comments left. Seems more like an 80s Style song.
Sorry still can't figure ut how to post whole video.

RE: American Actress Yvette Mimieux Dies Aged 80

RIP to both! Meatloaf, a rather odd character, very likable. Enjoyed his music.

RE: American Actress Yvette Mimieux Dies Aged 80

She is best known as "Weena" original movie, "The Time Machine", also starred in the original movie "Where the Boys Are". She had many roles in TV and movies.
RIP!

RE: Good Morining USA !

Daytlight savings time starts here March 13th. I wish they would just leave it one way or the other instead of this switching one hour ahead or behind. I prefer more daylight!

RE: should i forgive women...who have been unkind to me over the years?

University of California, hmmm.. what do you expect! Critical thinking sure doesn't exist there!!!

RE: The rising costs of energy prices,

I guess costs are relative to where you live. Florida taxes aren't as high. tourist prevents that. Theme park and zoo tickets here are about the same, doesn't cover food and drink once you are in, horrendously expensive. I went to them back when they first opened, never again. Concert tickets, depends who is playing, we do have local concerts all over that are free. The "rain water" situation is pure corruption. Surprised people there don't petition against that, what is it an HOA thing? My Homeowners insurance went up to $1365 a year from $694 in 2019. I asked my rep why, never had a claim, was told "that all ins companies are increasing". I told her is it "monkey see, monkey do or just plain greed?" We are subject to hurricanes tho. She got me a rate of $800 but I would have to pay $400-$500 for another wind mitigation inspection, drives it right back up! All in all not really that bad

RE: which women's sport...do you enjoy most?

I never have seen it televised, not sure if it is an Olympic sport but rowing competitions have always interested me. I wanted to do it, not just watch, get on a team somewhere. Actually looks like fun to me, full body workout, in time with team members, speed!

RE: Causes of deep peace...?

For me it's being in a pristine forest, surrounded by tall trees. Even as a child loved forests. Any worries I have always seem to fade. Especially on horseback, so miss those days.

RE: Music game

RE: What the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your mother?

My Mother's intelligence /IQ was phenomenal! Was offered scholarships out of school but never accepted. She was very temperamental and often let emotion over ride critical thinking her whole life. She never reached her full potential. Still admire her tho, always will.

RE: What is your favorite tv series from 70's and 80's

Does non-fiction Count?

"In Search Of", with Leonard Nimoy. Still love watching that old series!

RE: The rising costs of energy prices,

Wow, maybe Oregon is the place to be. I'm in Florida, where weather is basically constant. A normal electric bill, $300 for a 3/2 house (what daughter pays). Mine is low about $70-80 a mo but I am very conservative. Rent for a 1bd apt, $1800 mo (what sister pays), duplexes are more, does not include HOA fees usually. It's cheaper to buy now. Utilities, water, garbage pickup went from $35 mo to $60 mo last year. Gas in my area about $3.50 for mid grade, what I use. probably more expensive in bigger cities like Orlando.

I don't see many solar panels, My Ex has a few but they create constant problems with his roof.

I've read so much about alternative fuels, corn oil, even some kinds of algea looked promising. Fossil fuel will probably continue until every last drop is gone. Oil barons, corporations will see to that.

RE: My Taste In Music

Had to post this Beach Boys song, my favorite.
I still can't figure out how to post the whole video, sorry,

RE: Long time, so much chit... Play the blues

Her best song!

RE: are there...too many movie remakes?

Predator 2 with Danny Glover, was better than the first one. Star Trek 4 was the best of those movies!

RE: Any Home Aquarium lovers out there?

Get a Bull shark. They can exist in salt or fresh water.

RE: Will you meet anyone the forums?

I miss the phones that used to have a physical Qwerty keyboard. Blackberry no longer supported. I think it's amazing how fast people can type on just the screen.!

I had a relationship with someone on CS, lasted almost a year. Ended with a misunderstanding but I was getting annoyed with him anyway.

RE: Mom and Popisms

My Mother hated whining,

"Do you want to give you something to cry about?!!!!

My little sister constantly whined. One day my mother had a headache and was laying down. My sister walked into her room with the usual whining. My mother let out a growl like a mountain lion. My little sister flew out of that room like she was being chased by one...lol!

RE: 3D-printed steaks are now being served in restaurants

20 grams of protein in one Beyond Burger. I was wrong about fat content. It's not that high much lower than beef burger.

RE: 3D-printed steaks are now being served in restaurants

They are about $5.75 for a pack of two in grocery stores here. Bottom Round burgers are wayyyy more expensive, a whole roast maybe two pounds about $20+ dollars! I wouldn't buy meat on Amazon.
