Pretty impressive I am cowboy and Indian about a third Native American on my dad's side. Cherokee's that were sent on the Trail of Tears. Might be a bit on my mom's side although we haven't proved that yet.

Sure it is evident in your cheekbones lol. Do you like to garden with or without gloves and do you feel more at home inside or outside in nature except when it colder than hades?

You all have a lot of really good points on both sides but it just seems to bring a lot of bickering. The key to teaching people especially when it comes to the countries of their birth whether you live there or not is balance. To balance the good you find in that land and the peoples with the flaws or planks found in their eyes so to speak. Plank or spec in the idea being based on Jesus telling the Pharisees before you pull the spec out of your brother's eye or judge them take it out of your own. If you yank out the plank lol in their eyes and leave them bleeding and blind they are not going to thank you for it. However if you come from a place of caring and compassion they might listen more carefully and applaud you as being wise and showing them the error of their ways lol There is error in all our ways. Every country we can't hide from it. I don't like to admit to the flaws in my country as then I have to take ownership but it is right there staring most of us in the face these days on all kinds of levels from the problems on wall street to the fact that for the first time in many years our unemployment is high and many many people living week to week will be losing their jobs and it does affect other countries as well. There is still a lot of prejudice here and it is unfortunate how many people do not realize that they spout it every day against someone else. Please can't we all just get along lol. If I want to be yelled out my manager at the restaurant is more than happy to yell at me as I am running around stressed out in my serving job lol.
Well step on up about to write one about a lady that I know online who is battling MS but has a big spirit. Her spirit shines even through a few emails on the net. Bet she has no time or energy to get herself into the nonsensical cyclical arguments I have found myself in lately lol.
The rest of the world should just be afraid of these threads. We should be finding places of commonalities. Americans will fix America and granted there is much to learn globally and sometimes we haven't listened. I find myself getting in these threads and being defensive and am frankly weary of it. Fight amongst yourselves I will go back to writing my crappy poetry. lol
We are still a unique America. There are still may people who immigrate to our shores. The world in general is a harsh place however America is there in the heart of us who love her and believe that while not perfect she is truly great. America is there when we reach out to other countries in times of crisis in spite of differences or to our own fellow Americans during the many hurricanes we experience. As in Indonesia during that terrible tsunami we reached out to a land that is filled with some of the very people who would desire to destroy us based on misguided religious hatred. We are still unique when we help one another to raise money for someone who's insurance will not cover a life threatening illness. We are still America when we are soldiers who rather than criticize put on armor and go thousands of miles away from home to do battle. We are America in our own brands of music from the blues, rap and our flavor of rock and roll. We are America in our myriad of restaurants and eclectic mix of people living near each other and interacting in our cities. This is only part of it, and while I may not be as skilled as some in debating with others when I am out in my neighborhood on a sunny Summer day and buying lemonade from some kid down the street or driving home and staring right ahead of me is the Rocky Mountains in their glory. Or I am in Oregon in the valley I grew up in that is such a verdant green in the spring it takes your breath away. I am so glad to be in America.
There is a lot of crap that America has done and yes we should admit it. Yet there has been a hell of a lot of good done bye the average Joe on the street and really that is who makes up this country. The one who didn't want to tuck it's tail between it's legs after 9 11. The war in Iraq is a mess admittedly and a lot of people have lost their lives from all over the globe. When we all think that we have arrived it seems that the barbarism that makes up every tribe on this planet rears up its ugly head. That part of us that has not quit being primates and just reacts. I am tired of American bashing. I came on these threads to dialogue with people from all over the planet to learn and to encourage not to defend my country here but I will again I reiterate every country on earth has done crap they are made up of humans. Unfortunately I know for me and probably other Americans, admittedly with our heads up our butts, it took 9 11 to wake up us to realize how hated we were as Americans. Yet its still the best place to live. JMO. Come visit and we will treat you with kindness and respect there is no need to be afraid of us and when our government gets out of line we correct it. Checks and balances and our constitution set up many years ago in a reaction to tyranny.
Bye darlin I would imagine with people such as you and Hugz in Canada its a wonderful place to live. No place is perfect because people exist there. Mucked up precious humans. Have a great night. Nice to make your acquaintance.
PAMW is Psycho Middleaged American Women they figured so many of us being so newly divorced with time on our hands would be perfect for the plot to take over the planet. If you met me in person you would think I was the last person capable of such dastardly deeds even for my government but you never know appearances are deceiving.
Yeah I am afraid of all these Coloradans out here and their driving when it gets icy they think just because they have an SUV they can drive like maniacs. I am so afraid that Monopoly money will be the only money of value world wide and that we Americans will flood the various markets with it. lol Ooooohhhhhh scarey Yanks. Damn us lol.
Yeah be afraid of us be very afraid lol. All countries have done crap that doesn't excuse America but I love my country. I am sorry that you have a need to go on the attack of it. There have been no perfect countries in man kind's existence they all have done crappy things because they are made of humans.
Yes I am glad for my job lots of people losing theirs and the restaurant I work for is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Been quite a few of them close their doors here in the last few months. Just hanging in there.
I am sorry. That is a very difficult situation being someone in the middle of two loves it is very heartbreaking. It is great to think that all is cut and dried in this life but it isn't. Hugs to you. Wish the best.
whoo hoo its beer thirty lets see can probably be in Illinois via jet in about an hour and half spend an hour drinking out of the harbor with some type of filter then hour and half back home can just make in time to be really sloshed and happy for work tonight lol. Race you Hugz.
That's true we want you guys to be perfect so we don't have to be. Actually perfect people frighten me as they don't understand they are flawed like the rest of us lol.
Just turned afternoon here. Good well that leaves all the dark beer for me then. Coors beer is made about 15 miles from me. Will have to fax yous some.
