I believe bitterness and cynical people are those who are the most tender hearted at times they have become so hurt they put on a great facade. It is those people who need stories like yours about love that weathers hard things. There are no guarantees and to value love while we have it is the key. To not be sorry that we loved and were loved even at those times when it doesn't work out.

I don't think it has anything to do with age. It has to do with attitude. So may I ask have you dated these women for a while saying lets do this or that and making it sound like there might be some type of commitment from you? Just curious. Women are very relational creatures by nature or at least most of us are. Best thing is to be very upfront and tell someone hey I just want a friends with benefits situation or I am not ready for anything to develop. Why should an older woman be less inclined to desire a relationship than a younger one? lol. Obviously that is in some ways a compliment to you. I have found with the guys I dated that were a bit younger that I didn't want a relationship happening.
Age is just a state of mind or at least I keep telling myself that as I can't hear or see very well and gravity is catching up with me. As for weirdness the most fun interesting peeps are a bit weird. Hey its a blessing. Embrace it lol.
