OMG Just got back from retrieving said Brizzy UBD circa 1988 (Year of Expo!) from recycling pile

Will check Ebay price later. Why would anyone pay $42 for an Adelaide UBD 1988? Nothing wrong with Adelaide but can't get my head around that??

PS - the 1988 Brisbane UBD has had a reprieve, I found it in a pile of books I am taking to Lifeline for their Big Book Sale they have in July.

Thailand? Brilliant! sounds great. I have said for years if I can find that deserted island that I can go to, where there is no mention of Christmas, no tinsel and holly and all the madness that goes with it, I'll be there in a blink of an eye!

Could be they are married/in a relationship and other half getting suspicious of them being on the net a lot? minimising window when they walk in room? ummmm could be lots of reasons?

Some people are just out of a relationship, think they are ready to take the plunge again, then get cold feet?

Maybe some people just get their kicks out of stringing people along?

Hi Merri, was going to put on a CD put then realised I have moved the music system which I think I might toss out and upgrade, CD doesn't work, cassette deck ? who plays cassettes so I have put Music channel on Austar!

My daughter usually does it but since she got a car I don't see much of her

I would stay away from Golden Bay/Nelson area at the moment, they are having a real rough time with flooding, "once in a lifetime".

They can't seem to win a trick at the moment, what with the earthquakes in Christchuch

I am not perfect, and neither are you but as long as the things you love outweigh those silly little things then I can live with that - I think?

I have learned not to be so hasty in my judgement of people and have done exactly what I said I would not do!! I said I would not talk to anyone on CS that didn't have a foto on their profile and I did and I also said I would not get into a distance relationship and I have but somehow we are making it work.

He is the calm one, I am the Drama Queen, but am learning to think before I make a hasty rash decisions and open my big mouth before I have to then take it back.

b) try and politely say no to the oldies who offer me yet another mince pie without upsetting them, there is only so much even I can eat?

c) not planning on eating any turkey at all

d) thinking of getting to the beach some time on Xmas day but that depends on the weather?

e) if it is crap weather on Xmas Day, thinking of having a girly day with my daughter, DVD's and chocolate (and the odd glass of champers.

Think I had a bit of a brain snap last week, bought a couple of second-hand bedside tables for my daughters room, (lovely modern white) and came away with a bookshelf and display cabinet as well!

Aaaah - now all I gotta do is take all the stuff off a corner computer desk/hutch, a 6ft bookcase and another dumping desk!

Boxes of books, files, bits and pieces covering the lounge room floor.

Don't think so, the Xmas tree is still in the box in the corner of the room with the box of decos to go on it! Might get it done sometime soon .......

Ever done anything you thought was a great idea ....... then so realised it was pretty dumb

Not to make any stupid NY Resolutions that I know I have a hope in hell's chance of keeping usually cos it means giving up

a) chocolate
b) wine
c) yummy food other than lettuce leaves
d) wine flavoured chocolate
e) chocolate flavoured wine

So instead I won't even think about the 'D' word and talk more about a 'healthier lifestyle'

Been searching the health shops for low calorie, low fat, low cholesterol, environmentally friendly wine and chocolate?

Not having any luck so far

I like babies, kids or all ages - except the ones who are badly behaved, have no manners, no respect, foul mouthed, bullies, and don't like the parents of these brats even more.

Can't stand parents who think their kids can do no wrong and back them no matter what.

PS - I have renewed my membership for the GOW Club (Grumpy Old Women) and I am proud of it!

Sometimes I am not sure if I have PMT or Menopausal all at the same time which is just as good as a crackhead I think!

I am usually a calm and logical person but every now and then I snap and LOOK OUT!! I've told him to go to blazes, threaten to put the kids out when they turn 18 .......

Then it all washes over me and aaaaah - "who me?" I was tired, stressed, got lots on my mind....
