Yep, they're great. I was "instand" daddy to my ex's kids for all of 7 years... I love 'em, althought I did wished they was mine. My ex was pregnant one time, but not good, her drugs affected them, so (shrugs)... anyway I loves kids, they're fun, and best thing is to read stories to them and make funny noises, makes them GIGGLES!!! It's great.

Now that I got Starscapes... posters up at community centre and post at IGA's down, gone... no idea where... no calls, nothing. Looks like I'll have to do door-to-door salesmanship, see if that will work, I bring my demo boards, show them benefits, great for kids, stargazes and fall asleep fast! Romantic for the parents... relaxing for the businesspeople... such as it is.

(sighs)... yet I'm reluctant to just go out there, what if I fail? I don't know. What if, no matter how many I knock, every place I knock says NO.... 10... 20... 50... 100... 400... 900 houses and no one wants it... that's my worst nightmare... ah well...

Honestly.... not really little ones cry too much does my head in totally. I do however like them when they are about 10 upwards cause they are developing their personalities like the two girls next door are 10 and 13 they are sweethearts such well mannered girls and a pleasure to chat with, compared to a lot of kids today are so rude and cheeky.

I don't have grandchildren so it is hard for me to compare, just being honest. I don't really get kids today as mine are all grown up and love them to bits , been there done that dunno Like my friends are always talking about the grandkids which I really don't get it dunno

What made me ask is that I saw a thread on the Inters, something to do with Kids say the Darndest things .. and I shuddered and thought OMG, not on here, I get enough of them at work laugh

It's not their fault, it's the parents who let them run riot everywhere and that seems to be the majority these days confused

Yes I love kids, babies and toddlers but I have to admit there are some shocking parents out there who have no idea about parenting doh

Next door to me, this kid screams constantly late at night and only from what I can hear, is running the show and mum seems to have no control over this child at all doh

Been in supermarket here too and have seen a mum telling her kids for nothing and just wanted to say something but ya cant mumbling

Some parents really do need educating as they obvioulsy have no bloody idea about been good parents wine

Hi Serene,

This is a hard thread. I like to watch children develop... therefore that also says, I need them to be a part of my life.

Also children from extended families... love to watch them play together, but there are just some kids that I could not accept.

e.g. I am not much into children who shout instead of laughing, like the children who live behind me . The noise is too much. I dont know if their parents are deaf, but on a hot day, those children just shout. very mad constantly..

But the little girls next door, 4 and 7 I love them to bits.

However, re the behind me... before the noisy lot came.. there used to be png family there... and there were so many children, and they laughed lots... Now that was a pleasure.. It was like listening to singing... very very nice.

Hellooooo AA wave

Where you a child once... Did you have a good time as a child, do you cherish your childhood memories..

Would you like your memories to include that someone wanted you about... ????

Or have you simply lost patience.? assuming that you once had patience, at least for yourself.. laugh

Love kids. But yeah still a big believer in (How do u phrase it PC wise)corporal punishment. Kids need to know boundaries and consequences. And kids who don't, I have trouble with. But no kid under eight is bad. After eight well ..... If I don't like the kids I'll avoid the parents.

I like kids, I like other peoples much more than my own.

Its the whole being able to give them back thing... so much more plesant than having to take them home with you.

Was sitting at the shops the other day, watching this wee kiddie have a corker of a tanty, screaming, sobbing, snot everywhere, throwing things.. wonderful !!! so thankful that it wasnt mine, and P8ssing myself laughing grin

Yep I love em - with a bit of honey and soy marinate, slow cooked to keep em tender, and a side salad.

I kind of agree with you on the little ones... But I don't have that much exposure to them... Never had any of my own.

But I was on a flight reccently, and had two 12 year olds sitting beside me. (they were on a school trip - the plane was full of them.) I was kind of dreading four hours sitting next to them, but tried to look on the positive - atleast they weren't taking up too much space...grin

It was their first flight, and they were full of questions. And they had to be two of the most polite human beings I have come accross. I was really very impressed...
