M. Ghandi was married when he was 11 years old I think. I have his autobiography. I'll see if i can find it and maybe quote what the great man himself said about his arranged marriage.
I know an Indian doctor here who went to India to look for a suitable husband for her daughter who was in her 20's and professionally qualified. She had not found anyone here that had taken her fancy so she gave the green light for her mother to find one for her in India. So her mother scouted around and found her a suitable boy, another doctor, from a good family, of-course.
They were given each other's contact details, introduced by email I think, and they communicated this way plus webcams. They liked each other. She went over there, they met in person. Next thing you know, she returned to Oz, and the entire wedding was planned and arranged by their friends over there, including choice of traditional wedding dress and head gear. Bride and groom and their families simply had to turn up to what was a very colorful three day celebration. Gorgeous photos.
The pair are now both in Oz, last time I heard, very happily married.
I think I remember reading that growing a tail was certainly considered as a possible outcome from the irradiation, but statistically only a 0.0000005 level of probability of occurring, so I ommit it here.
Gee, now I'm embarrassed. How nice of you, THANK YOU! But I have been and gone, and now returned again. Too many lovely people like yourself, on CS. I am so pleased to meet you. But I must maintain some discipline
