OOOh, yes!

- No "non-EU passport queues"
- Can work anywhere in EU if I ever want a break from Oz
- Buy property there, get loans etc.....
- Feel close to my roots again.

It felt warm and fuzzy to be reminded I was actually born in that beautiful country!

I am now both Italian and Australian citizen, as of three weeks ago (unless the authorities find some bureaucratic reason to stuff me around!!!).

No, I do not wish it upon anyone, the kind of first half the day I had.

As this is a positive thread, I do wish you could have been at this evening's dinner. It could not have been better timed!

I must ask him to join CS. He is single and available. Pity he is not my kind of guy, but there would be someone else on CS that would be suited to him!

The beginning and end of my day could not have been more different!

I went to a dinner this evening, and the host spoiled us all rotten, and waitied on us all, hand and foot. We enjoyed a gorgeous four course meal, fine wine, a variety of cheeses and fresh fruit.

I do believe we each have a life purpose. Picking up on the signs that lead us there, might be a bit of a trick. I think we just need to listen, look, and learn along the way, to take the opportunities as they are given to us by the universe. JMO

My Italian is very rusty, but I think the word 'luce' above means 'light' as in light bulb. The word you are looking for is 'leggero'.(as in travelling light in weight)

So may I suggest you be extremely diligent that you use the correct word when communicating with the belle ragazze Italiani when you are there. Or you could end up 'fidanzate' (betrothed)!
