Cuba was accused of direspecting human rights. They suffered economic boycott, very convenient to suffocate their economy and make them unable to sustain their political system.
China was accused of disrespecting human rights in different ways and different times. It doesn´t seem to matter much now that they´re such an important economy.
Human rights... those in the universal declaration, right?
Now Brazil. How does freedom of speech help those who are illiterate? How does freedom "to move around" (need help on this one) serve those who live on USD 25 a month? And so on.
Do Human Rights serve their ideal purpose, or are they just cosmetic, and truly serve the exact thing they are supposed to oppose, domination and exclusion?
