RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

Exactly, the media exists to control people's thoughts.
It doesn't reflect the truth. It reinforces a desired delusion.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

Yes, you hardly see the Scofield Reference Bible anymore. It's a big old Bible-Thumper's bible that has pretty much disappeared now. Nobody would want to be seen carrying one.

It was however a standard KJV bible like yours, but it had all sorts of footnotes and comments on both sides of the page, at the bottom of the page and in a column down the middle of each page. And the poison was in the footnotes, not the bible text itself.

You may have never heard of dispensationalism, or Scofield, but the doctrine you got at that little white church was certainly strongly influenced by it, that's clear from what you posted earlier.

I could fill page after page on the subject, but others have already done a better job of it than I can. I think you would find it well worth your time to investigate a little.

This video describes the most extreme form of dispensationalism, also called Christian Zionism. I don't agree with everything they say in the video, but it gives a basic idea of what sort of fanaticism it is.

This is the kind of insanity that dispensationalism leads to.
Fanaticism replaces love as the basis. It's like they threw out the whole New Testament. These supposed Christians have become full-fledged pharisees.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

We are all conditioned into beliefs at first. Especially where religion is concerned. But as we grow up we start to question things and throw out some beliefs and embrace others. And that's how we become adults.

But when things are largely accepted by those around us we tend to accept them without too much questioning. And that opens the door for mass deception.

If you look at the full range of what claims to be christianity, including catholics, baptists, mormons, Jehovah's Witness, Pentacostalists, quakers, Unitarians, etc etc etc I think you'll have to agree that there are plenty of cracks, allowing for false doctrines to enter in and take root.

In the interest of helping you clean out your mental cupboard, may I suggest a pamphlet that you can read online, entitled "Why I left Scofieldism". (note if you find the text too small just select it all and copy it to Word or Write and then adjust the print size.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

Never stop investigating.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

Sure you've heard of them.
They're "scribes and Pharisees".

They love to impose their self-righteous religious dictates upon others.

They're not all Jewish, although the Jewish religion is indeed one of their strongholds.

There are scribes and pharisees among so-called Christians too, lots of them.

In fact Oklahoma is their American heartland.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

The bible doesn't say anything remotely like what you're claiming.
Your doctrine comes from Darby and Schofield.
Not from the scriptures.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

Because Israel is an apartheid state with a policy of ethnic cleansing.

It has been a financial parasite of the US since the day of its creation.

It has poisoned US relations with formerly friendly Arab states.

In a false flag attack, Israel deliberately tried to sink an unarmed US ship killing scores of men in an attempt to draw the US into a war against Egypt.

Israel has massacred tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians.

Israeli spies stole US nuclear secrets.

Israel has weapons of mass destruction and uses them regularly.

Israel has nuclear weapons aimed at European cities.

Is that enough ?????

Now try justifying why the US should fight for Israel.

RE: Do you think the U.S. should take a neutral stance regarding Israel.

Yes.

But to arrive at anywhere near a neutral stance after so many years of extreme blatant favoritism I think it would require saturation bombing of all Israeli cities. Just for a few weeks.

RE: do you believe that there is a secret organization running the world?

Not one organization.
A whole network of organizations.

RE: Are we being watched and followed?

Just today I found on Google a page from which you can trace your search requests from the past, even from years ago. So a record of every single search is recorded and kept in a specific file about each one of us.

As we surf the internet Big Brother is watching us.

RE: What will it take to restore this planet to 'normality'

Chaos IS normality.

What we need is something better.

RE: after haow many dates should you sleep together?

NO!

RE: English is second language in England

Yes indeed. I taught ESL in Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and France. It didn't lead to any harm.

RE: English is second language in England

Never believe anything from the Washington Times.

It's owned by the Moonies. And has a decidedly twisted agenda.

RE: Your favorite dog breed!!Good one!!

Having said that, I don't have anything against purebreeds. Except that they often have genetic problems of one sort or another. Too much breeding for particular physical characteristics.

This is Douina, my sweetheart.
A cavalier-king-Charles.
She's really smart.
She can even understand TV images.
If a dog appears, even in the background, she recognizes it right away.

RE: Your favorite dog breed!!Good one!!

In the country errant dogs often kill livestock. I've had to kill dogs myself when they were attacking my animals.

I love dogs and certainly don't like killing them. But like someone said above, you gotta do what you gotta do.

It's the owners' fault for not controlling the dogs.

RE: Your favorite dog breed!!Good one!!

I like cross-breeds.

RE: Shut-down Avoided

Thread: Shut-down Avoided Postponed

Borrowing more money doesn't end a debt crisis.

RE: Is torture ever acceptable?

Define terrorist.

The minutemen of Massachusetts had no uniforms and they were firing upon the soldiers of their lawful government.

Were they terrorists or freedom fighters?
I think it depends on which side you are on.

If due process doesn't apply to everybody then there is no due process, only hypocrisy.

RE: Is torture ever acceptable?

Trial and error.

Tomorrow's the day.

Yep, but the deal only takes it to February and then the same situation will come again. And they'll be wanting another rise of the debt ceiling. How long will creditors put up with it.

New IOUs don't really constitute paying anything at all.

Tomorrow's the day.

This morning the US announced that it still has about 30 billion to keep it going for a few days. As I understand it the new deadline is Nov. 1 when a lot of obligations come due. No hope of going past that point without borrowing more money.

As I've said before, the problem is not the debt ceiling.
The problem is the debt.

This guy speaks in a monotone but he sums up the situation pretty well.

Tomorrow's the day.

I try to keep 6 months ahead on canned and dried food.

I replace it as I use it.

Mostly today I bought heating fuel, enough for the winter.
Firewood, bottled gas, Lignite Bricks. I did also buy some food to replace stocks.

Tomorrow's the day.

Agreed.

Tomorrow's the day.

I agree that China is looking for the ideal moment to pull the plug.
But economic crises can influence that decision. If the US defaults on its interest payments, I think China will take that as a que to dump their dollars while they can.

Besides, China will be able to get all those professors anyway just by offering them a job. Like during the aftermath of WW2 in Europe, all the top scientists will be rounded up and shipped overseas to continue their projects with more pay, better facilities, and bigger budgets.

Tomorrow's the day.

That's wise.
I do the same thing.
I try to keep about 6 months supply of food on hand.
I've got about 250 cans of Salmon. 100 cans of Tuna.
Freeze dried vegetables of all sorts.
A big barrel of TVP.
20 big bottles of olive oil.
Big sacks of flour, beans, rice, and dried milk.
A case of tea bags
20 jars of instant coffee
Water filtration equipment (I live beside a lake).
etc.

Tomorrow's the day.

To get away from the insanity.

I left the USA during Reagan's first term. But even ten years before that, back in the early seventies, I knew the US was headed for an economic crash due to its insane deficit spending year after year.

I am only surprised that it has taken this long to occur.

Tomorrow's the day.

The US has no friends.
