RE: #2. Which pet would you buy for your kid if the nagged you hard enough?

I don't know how it works in other countries but here in France it costs a couple hundred dollars to get an animal out of a shelter. Technically you're paying for vaccinations and contributing toward the cost of operating the shelter.

RE: #2. Which pet would you buy for your kid if the nagged you hard enough?

RE: What do you think will happen when the Mayan calender ends on December 21 2012

Or worse, a scheme to create paranoia at just the moment they intend a major psy-op such as crashing the world economy in order to force all nations into a global economy/dictatorship. (for example)

RE: Should burning your country's flag be illegal?.

No, not really, but yes what happened in Cambodia was a direct consequence of the secret, illegal, and horribly evil US bombing of Cambodia during the Vietnam war. So, yes, America is responsible for the killing fields. In fact the US even supported Pol Pot as he took power in Cambodia because he was opposed to North Vietnam.

But even without counting Cambodia where somewhere between 3 and 6 million people were systematically massacred, the US war against Vietnam killed several million in Vietnam proper.

And frankly the US had no business being there or killing anybody.
It was not about freedom, it was not about democracy, and it was not even about capitalism. It was about forcing US taxpayers to finance hundreds of billions of dollars worth of military goods, thereby making some industrialists very rich, and keeping taxpayers from bettering their own lives.

War is often used as a means of stimulating the economy without allowing for upward social mobility and without causing a glut of production. The wastefulness of war consumes the surplus, and war taxation gobbles up the income. Unemployment is low but people's lives don't improve.

Read the Report from Iron Mountain for a detailed study on the functions of war in society.

RE: Should burning your country's flag be illegal?.

Burning foreigners with napalm causes unnecessary pollution too.

RE: Should burning your country's flag be illegal?.

It's stretching the truth to say that all US casualties were "preserving our freedom".

Freedom has nothing to do with imperialism. And a lot of America's wars can only be described as imperialist wars of aggression.

I don't blame the troops. They had no part in the decision and they have to do what they are ordered to do. But there's no honor to be had in taking part in organized mass murder such as the wars in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

On the contrary, I honor those with the courage to refuse.

RE: Should burning your country's flag be illegal?.

I won't burn any flags.
But I won't salute any flags either.

My allegiance is elsewhere.

How fast is the national debt increasing?

Don't take offense.
Nothing personal.
It's just that other nations don't count.
Why do you think they call it "US".

And why do you think I prefer France.

How fast is the national debt increasing?

That's a great video stringman. Extremely well done.

My guess is that even the film's projected date is pretty much "right on the money".

How fast is the national debt increasing?

"Money" is just an illusion
it has no true value of it's own
most money is not even printed
it's created when banks make a loan
for the debt thus becomes the bank's asset
consequently the bank can now lend
not just one time the debts total value
but the debt's total value times ten
So the cycle just keeps on repeating
and the bankers grow rich in this way
as they pocket a certain percentage
of each debtors' signed promise to pay
all this debt then becomes legal tender
and the economy is said to have grown
and the wealth flows from debtor to lender
though he lent not one cent of his own

and like all ponzi schemes it's just hot air and dreams
and inevitably confidence sags
so the trick is to know when to sell out and go
leaving someone else holding the bags

How fast is the national debt increasing?

And since they profit from the debt, there is no limit to their desire.

The economy isn't dysfunctional.
It isn't broken.
It's doing exactly what its designers intended.
It is systematically stealing wealth from the people and concentrating it into the hands of the financial elite.

If anybody is waiting for the government to "fix" the economy they are going to have a very long wait.

The government answers to the elite, not to the people.

RE: Socks with sandals. Yes or no?

Socks with sandals?
Yes, otherwise the feet tend to get black.

Socks with flip flops?
No, the socks interfere with the toe grip.

RE: Police joke in pakistan

Mine were small black goats. I bought them from a Mexican guy who primarily grew them to barbecue them, he had a fajitas stand in his front yard and all the local Mexicans came there to eat real authentic goat fajitas.

I know what you mean about them being escape artists. I've seen them climb up into the high branches of trees that a person would have a hard time climbing. Sheer cliffs are no obstacle, if there is a way to climb it, they will find it.

RE: Police joke in pakistan

I'm not offended and besides it's not you I'm referring to.

I'm not sure we have any real Pakistanis on this thread though.

There have been other posters on the site here who pretend to be from other countries than where they really live. CS does not check to verify.

So, for example, If I created a profile saying I was Polish and then purposely gave the impression that the police in Poland were corrupt, people would form a negative opinion of Poland.

That sort of psy-op activity goes on all the time.

I try to mention it whenever I suspect it may be occurring.

I may be wrong sometimes but I know I'm right sometimes as well.

Either way, at least it gives an opportunity to mention it and encourage others to always analyze things critically and avoid forming negative stereotype ideas based on what may well be false-flag posts.

Let it suffice to say that there are indeed people in this world who want to sow contention instead of peace. And the best way to oppose them is to try to make sure that everybody is aware of their methods.

RE: Police joke in pakistan

I had some goats in Texas for the same reason.

I bought a 2 acre plot that had a lot of Johnson Grass (up to 6 feet tall in some places). I tried to cut it down with a sling knife but it was growing back faster than I could cut it all.

Somebody suggested I get some goats and they really did the trick. I just had to tether them in a spot and in a few days they would eat the Johnson grass down to the ground. Then I'd move them to a new spot. The helped me get a handle on the situation so I could till up the Johnson grass roots and plant carpet and bermuda grass in its place.

RE: Police joke in pakistan

I smell a goat.

It smells a lot like a false-flag smear campaign intended to create a negative attitude towards Pakistanis by portraying them as corrupt and backwards on internet discussion forums.

Only goats smell a little better and are harder to recognize.

RE: Who controls the WORLD

It's far to big a subject to address in a post at CS.

But here's a website with which I pretty much agree concerning the actual nature of the "elite" who run the planet.

RE: will you buy an item online from a well known retailer this year?

I was semi-invalid for a couple of years and I learned that buying online is pretty reliable. You can shop for the best price, and even haggle about shipping costs if they are excessive, and you don't have to spend any time or money driving around trying to find the best buy for the same item. There are sites that list all the various retailers that handle any given item.

In ten years, if we don't blow ourselves up or live under dictatorships, I think most non-food shopping will be done over the internet.

RE: Rodney King Dead

Personally I think the whole Rodney King thing was an elaborate hoax.

From the "beating" to the video, to the judge, to the jury verdict and to the entirely predictable resulting riots, and to the new trial and the huge award.

It was all planned in advance and carried out according to script.

Everybody got their cut.

Now somebody else is getting Rodney Kings cut.

RE: Syrian Pilot's Defection Highlights Regime's Challenges

Here's a photo of the fake Mig that the US used in its bid to justify a war on Cuba. Like with the present case in Syria it was supposed to be a defector from Cuba, but it was really an American pilot and a US fighter jet that had undergone extensive modifications to make it resemble a Mig.

The scam was part of Operation Northwood.
Which was intended to justify a US invasion of Cuba.

More official description of part of the planned operation.

"Sink ship near harbor entrance. Conduct funerals for mock victims."

The document goes on to suggest a "Remember the Maine" incident, referring to the explosion and sinking of the USS Maine that lead to the Spanish-American War.

"Casualty lists in US newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."

Another part of the operation involved blowing up a drone aircraft and pretending that Cuba had shot it down with passengers aboard.

This is the actual wording from a memo describing the planned operation.

An aircraft at Eglin AFB would be painted and numbered as an exact duplicate for a civil registered aircraft belonging to a CIA proprietary organization in the Miami area. At a designated time the duplicate would be substituted for the actual civil aircraft and would be loaded with selected passengers, all boarded under carefully prepared aliases. The actual registered aircraft would be converted to a drone.

From the rendezvous point [with the drone] the passenger-carrying aircraft will descend to minimum altitude and go directly into an auxiliary field at Eglin AFB where arrangements will have been made to evacuate the passengers and return the aircraft to its original status. The drone aircraft will meanwhile continue to fly the filed flight plan. When over Cuba the drone will being transmitting…a "MAY DAY" message stating he in under attack by Cuban MIG aircraft. The transmission will be interrupted by destruction of the aircraft which will be triggered by radio signal.

There are dozens of known cases of the US faking attacks in order to justify invasions. The Gulf of Tonkin incident is one of the best known.

RE: Syrian Pilot's Defection Highlights Regime's Challenges

The US probably just paid a guy to defect. It's all part of the buildup for yet another regime change and they easily spend a couple billion for something like that. Much more if they want to invade.

It reminds me of the fake Cuban defectors who supposedly flew their planes to Florida. The CIA called them Cuban freedom fighters and they were the planes that attack Havana prior to the Bay of Pigs.

However Khrushchev took photos of the planes to the UN and proved that they were not Migs but American planes that had been altered and painted to resemble Migs. So Kennedy was forced to cancel a planned second attack on Castro's airforce and that led to the failure of the invasion.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the US (et al) are behind the supposed defection. One way or another.

RE: Sandusky Convicted

Agreed.

RE: How many languages do you speak?

Oh, and way back when I was in high school I learned to speak quite a bit of American sign language because my girlfriend's little sister was deaf. Mostly forgotten now.

RE: How many languages do you speak?

When I came to France in 1989 I didn't speak a word of French, but I spoke passable Japanese (for a gaijin) and enough Mandarin and Indonesian to get by from day to day on a very basic level.

However, having to learn French, and having no opportunity to speak the Asiatic languages for over 20 years, I've pretty much lost the ability to speak them.

RE: Do you believe the Spirit World exists ???

True science starts with basic facts and then systematically build upon them, testing each new addition to make sure it is sound before building upon it.

As for the spirit world, we know it through experiences and then we formulate hypotheses on the basis of that experience, guessing about their nature.

That's how we come up with myths and legends and religions.

In every society, regardless of their historical roots, there is always someone to play the role of witch-doctor. Someone who claims to have secret knowledge linking the world of facts to the hidden spirit world.

There is often a power struggle between the political leaders and the shamans for control of the people. Other times they may be hand in hand, sharing power.

If we are to learn any truth about the spirit world we should look within our own minds first, rather than to trust what we are told by supposed "experts", be they from the government, the religion, or from the scientific community.

Belief systems constitute a back-door to our personal hard-drives.
And there are those who want to reprogram us according to their personal agenda.

RE: Do you believe the Spirit World exists ???

Everybody I know seems to have one.

RE: Do you believe the Spirit World exists ???

It's funny that you should choose these three particular individuals to represent your belief system. Personally I consider the first two to be total charlatans, and I strongly suspect the third to be one as well. And let me add Freud to that list too.

RE: Afghanistan the Graveyard of Supper Powers

Oh yeah, you're right. We were discussing that weren't we?

Here's a song that applies very well to that subject.

RE: Afghanistan the Graveyard of Supper Powers

Oh there's plenty yet to say on this subject.

Yes, the US is always kind to invite students from Pakistan and all over the world to come study how to be intelligence assets.

They invited Bin Laden for example.
Even gave him a lot of money with which to buy weapons for shipment to Afghanistan.
Osama's CIA codename was "Tim Osman".
Here's an accidentally declassified intelligence field report to prove that.

Notice that supposed CIA whistle blower Ted Gunderson was one of the agents involved with Osama's weapon shopping trip.

Wikipedia has this to say about US involvement in overthrowing governments.

The United States government has been involved in and assisted in the overthrow of foreign governments (more recently termed regime change) without the overt use of U.S. military force. Often, such operations are tasked to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Regime change has been attempted through direct involvement of U.S. operatives, the funding and training of insurgency groups within these countries, anti-regime propaganda campaigns, coup d'états, and other activities usually conducted as operations by the CIA. The U.S. has also accomplished regime change by direct military action, such as following the U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989 and the U.S.-led military invasion of Iraq in 2003.

One thing is certain.
If the US invites intelligence students it is certainly not for the sake of "blessing" the people of the nations from which they come.

Ask the people of Chile, Grenada, the Phillipines, Iran, Iraq, Argentina, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Libya, etc etc etc
