Your goverment cares for the invalid. And in Greece is the same. The government help's to find a job for the unemployed. For the one's who turned down government jobs, they loose unemployment benefits. Except for the chronic suffere's. Like your case.
I don't have to care,what people think of myself. If you care what other people thing of you, then you have to be multi character, to fill the whims of the people,who know you.
