Hey you ll learn as you go along, put it down to experience. There ARE good blokes out there, just gotta find them. There are others though, some seem to get a kick out of getting a date organised, some are drifters and just move on and on to another profile. . .more arrange a date for the sole purpose of getting the leg over . .and worse still if it s not working out their way they get abusive! You are not the only one, you re not the first and no doubt wont be the last and its nothing you did . .or didnt do. . . I m getting the impression that you 2 got close on here, the let down obviously has you feeling bad, its the big downside of the internet thing that you have to accept goes with the territory with some on here and elsewhere. Look he shouldnt have left you hanging like that, you come across on the forums in general as a lovely person, good craic and also of course have looks to die for so if he cant see that he s just not worth wasting another ounce of energy even thinking about him. get someone to drive a long steel bar into the ground . .see what its like . .it might not have been great to start with. . .if you can loosen it and get a couple of stone (chips or pea gravel) put in it should help, dig a deep hole in low corner and fill with stone. You can keep seeding and doing cosmetic work but unless its addressed that problem will stay with you. Otherwise start growing the grass in the attic, paint the window and enjoy
Well you definitely in bother with drainage anne . . .you d even have to pin astro turf to it to keep it in place B s painted window easiest way out. Are there walls around your garden or just a fence. Are you much lower than next door? Do you know if the original ground was raised or lowered?
Anne its a difficult one without seeing it. If there s no grass left at all and you ve bare soil it would be best re seeded. You d need to have the wet areas drained and find a spot for the water to go. Connect into a storm drain via a special manhole to trap silt or else a soakpit reqd if ground suitable and dig any compacted areas to loosen any daub. Have seen back gardens basically taken out and replaced they were that badly done and also minor works. How was it last summer? Best get a local have a look at it that knows the lie of the land but at same time not someone hungry for work that could charge well
