Tarzan lives half naked, Cinderella doesn't come home till midnight Pinocchio lies all the time, Aladdin is the king of thieves, Batman drives at 320 KM/h, Sleeping beauty is lazy and Snow White lives with 7 guys. We shouldn’t be surprised when kids misbehave! They get it from their story books.

As for going away . .sure anywhere near a beach even for walks and exploring and a kickabout with your wee man and premium rates shouldnt have kicked in yet. How old is he? Anything in fota? There are a few additional things to consider as well as the above. Is accessability an issue given your health? You have your house and should the need arise you can modify it eg stairlift etc or convert a downstairs room? Apartments are usually accessed via a common area and unless a lift is provided you could hit bother.
Apartments also come with a yearly charge for upkeep etc of common areas which can be steep.
The fact you re on a dating site could be a sign of things to come haha and a 1 bed apt might be limiting your options.
Have you thought of rent a room scheme, i think you can earn up to a tax free threshold by letting out rooms.
