What really gets to me is.....vests. If you are not a builder (or suchlike) pool man or athlete, please don't wear them.(Especially on dates!) Yes yes, I know it's double standards. Far too many ladies wear inappropriate 'spaghetti string tops'. It's just that a vest, to my mind, looks like you are in your underwear. And I do know that some men agree with me.
The area I live in here on the Costa Blanca is on some sort of faultline. We had a 3.3 in March 2008. (The week prior Market Rasen in the UK had a 5.2!)
We had a further one of 3.5 in August 2008, with 4 aftershocks. This one had most of the inhabitants of the village running around in their nighties with the mayor implementing the emergency plan. Most ex-pats just turned over and went back to sleep. TV cameras turned up the next day to interview people!
I can understand it worries the locals, the main town was destroyed by a quake in 1829.
There was a little quake of 1.8 on the 13th of last month, I felt it but many slept through it.
My local forum now has a link to a seismic activity site for the Spanish area, they don't even show tremors less than 1.5. Since 28/10 up to this morning, there have been 6 tremors along the North African coast and out along the sea bed, ranging from 3.1 to 4.2 in scale.
Ha ha that's true Pat! The fellas are going to have to hang around for another five years for my pension. And the French think they are hard done by...
