I work with ladies like that all the time, week in and week out. One is bed bound and her family almost never brings her grandbabies/greatgrand babies to visit. I've worked with this person for a very long time and through pictures she's watched my babies grow. She's always saying how she wishes she could see them, but we both know HIPPA prevents it with strict fines.
Last Halloween I took my kids to a different neighborhood to trick-or-treat, they were dressed as a witch and a black kitten. My clients room mate opened the door and my girls went back to her room to trick-or-treat. She was still smiling and giggling the next day about 'her' trick-or-treater's.
I feel guilty about exposing the loop-hole in HIPPA, but she was so happy.
Since the OP didn't write a post I thought this might be one of those 'think' your response posts, so I didn't type one when I first saw it. I just thought it really loudly.
It gets to me sometimes, but I just look around at all I have and what I'm doing and who I'm doing it for. If that doesn't pull me out of it then I just take a day or half a day and indulge in something I love doing.
A well balance diet of meat, fish, and veggies are what our bodies are GEARED to digest.
to much fiber - you can't chit! you become a nasty grouch, that's if you don't become impacted and have to have an orderly at some hospital dig it out.
to much meat - it hurts your digestive track! you get bloated, cranky and you can't wait to chit! Down the road you will probably develope heart complications and end up with a bypass.
There's problems you face with any diet choice, as any doctor or nutritionist will tell you.
You've stated your observations, but honestly HONESTLY, why bother putting it in the forums unless something about eating meat isn't digging under your skin?
My observation (and this is all it is) is that most vegatarians can't stand people eating meat around them, but they don't think twice that it might be offensive to others that they only eat veggies.
I always talk myself out of getting one. My grandfather got several tatts in the navy, his favorite thing to do with the hoola girl on his calf was make her dance for the grandkids.
The hoola girl don't dance anymore, she looks like she's got osteo's, all bent over and crippled up.
Makes me think to much about how any tatt I get ANYWHERE on my body will look in 40-50 years. That's enough to turn me away from it.
Can't help but think when a man gets a prostate examine he finaly figures out why his woman always tells him 'the back door is closed and locked, buddy.'
Neither man or woman should expect any more or less than what they are willing to give.
Each person brings their own wants, desires and qualities into a relationship. Generally speaking, women know more about domestic stuff and even if they hold a high ranking job STILL earn less then their male counter parts. Men know more about tools (again, general) and often provide stricter discipline and family structure to counter balance woman's softer side.
This issue made out of gender equality is rediculous . Understand where it started, especially you guys out there. Men went to war, women picked up the tools of the mens trade. Men came back from war, women were 'put' back in their place. The biggest issue women had was with the right to break out of their 'role' if they either needed to (to support children who's fathers were killed in war, ect)or wanted to. The gender felt belittled and under appreciated, as many men do now. Thus the core of the conflict.
Many women prefer equal footing in relationships, it provides a sense of belonging and worth and respect that is given by their partner.
About 2 months after I joined I met someone, we were together for a few months, but brought out the worst in each other. Needless to say we stopped seeing each other.
A few months later I had coffee with a guy a few times, but other than being friendly, no sparks. Wasn't long after that I started thinking about going back to school and put off a social life.
What the young lady ment was, if you are posting in response to another CSer, please click the 'quote' button that appears at the bottom of the post to which you wish to respond. That way all other persons will know to whom you are responding to.
Other wise the few brain cells left active this late into the night get confused trying to figure it out.
