I`m alive - still - unfortunately!

This morning I felt fine.. just normal.... Even didn`t drink my usual 2 big filter coffees - had a Multi Vitamin fizzy drink (those tablet things you drop in a glass).

Then! I had my 2 hours at the local school where I volunteer to help the one teacher with her handwork class.... and those kids are enough to make anyone want to commit hari-kiri! After those two hours of screaming, jumping, totally out of control little freaks ....... Sorry, I came home and made lunch (still under strict self control) ... and then ... and then ... I had ONE cigarette (just to placate myself)

I consider that not a major crime, as my entire metabolism functions on nicotine and I figured maybe I should just let it be known generally internally that we are withdrawing?

Had major flu, so a bit of coughing - dont know if thats from the flu or clean-out? But funny enough, I had a good nights sleep...

OK - Mr Headache is back, so I`m going to get my Disgusting-Soup-in-a-packet I made, with extra fresh Broccoli in it, and go to bed with my soup and book.

If I`m still alive in the morning will try and get to my pc to say Hi.

Nope! I`m doing my Hermit in The Cave Routine ... suffering in silence with no distractions for my acute misery..... No wine, no beer, no whisky... no coffee. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh... maybe its time to die!

Maybe I will self-induce a heart attack? Maybe I will just take up smoking again? Nah .... thats why I`m gonna do ALL my laundry this weekend .. too much hard work to stink it all up again! Thats TWO jugs of water....

Oh yes, I know that! This week-end I am going to be laundering my entire wardrobe!

And next week I intend smelling like a virgin rain forest - with a breath like fruit salad. Okay, so thats exagerating, cause how I feel now I think its gonna take ages to rid myself of toxins!

Ja, its a *ucking miracle! Maybe I take up drinking jet-fuel or something?

Now, I`m gonna make a cup-o-disgusting-artificial-soup-stuff-from-a-packet... cause that is what I feel like .... my guts are empty except for about 10 gallons of water!

You are the only guys I`m telling about this experiment cause I dont want a lot of ribald comments from my family..... about Marlboro Mama type jokes! Anyway, if I fail, I`d rather fail with my dignity intact.

Thanks AMELIA. But, I been smoking since I was 15 ... and I`m now 61 and eleven twelths ...... And the last time I tried to give up - okay, I was not convinced myself, I was doing it from outside pressure - I only lasted about 8 hours! Now I got to day 3 (with one illegal) .... and will see if I survive tonight, before thinking about tomorrow.

I can`t eat anything! The thought of food makes my stomach ache ..... and if I touch my stomach I want to puke ... is this what giving up smoking does?

If I dont die from not smoking, then I`m gonna die from not eating. In fact I think I`m drowning myself in water! And feeling very miserable about it all....... But.... My Time Has Come!

Tuition fees at University? How you think Universities got to be Universities in the first place?

Usually, normally, University is reserved for those with higher education and exceptional marks and aptitudes and the means to afford the higher professional education ...... and companies offer bursaries to qualifying and exceptional students who cannot afford the fees.

Sadly, in South Africa, your method of closing down the Universities has been used, in mass demonstrations against tuition fees ... and the result is a lowering of the standards to the extent that most Uni qualificatins from SA are no longer recognised in the First World countries.

The first to go, when there is no incoming monies paying the Lecturers salaries, is the quality of the Lecturers, which leads to the quality of the degree obtained.

NEWS CAST: Smoky has given up Smoking.

At least I believe she has, but she is suffering!

On Monday I awoke to an horendous bout of `flu and could NOT smoke - just slept all day.

On Tuesday - I`d forgotten to reset the time on my mobile/alarm, woke up late, had to run for the train to german language school, had no time to smoke ... and by the time I got home decided to give it a bash as I`d slowly been building up to deciding whether I`d actually survive it!

Today, Wednesday, I have an awful taste in my mouth, a gut-wrenching pain in my abdomen, and I had to break down and have just one cigarette! Drinking gallons of water, and hoping this helps.

I dont know if I will actually live thru this, so if I vanish off CS its only cause I died from nicotine withdrawal!

I leave with the belief of "Vengeance is Mine sayeth the Lord"! You see, when one does not take vengeance personally, then God does it on my behalf! But if I do it - then enough has been done, and I prefer Gods version.......... Its more peaceful for me and then I don`t get locked up for assault and battery.

Thanks. I have something to report. Happened this weekend.

Went into a restaurant in another town (quite far from my home), the place was terribly crowded with irate waiters rushing around. After ordering some drinks, decided the place was far too noisy to enjoy a meal in, so went to the till to pay for the drinks and tell them we were leaving.

The waiter grabbed the bills out of my hand before I could sort them into which denomination I was going to hand over, and then he threw the change down onto a nearby table! I took the money and walked out.

Later I found the back of my coat and one sleeve covered in candle wax - and figured out the waiter must have turfed the melted wax at me as I turned to walk out!

If I had noticed what he had done - I would probably be still sitting in prison awaiting trial for Assault and Battery ... and probably a Phychiatric Evaluation of my Violent Mental Aberation!

Hi Amelia, Yes I can connect with what you are saying about Elephants ... most amazing creatures!

I saw, the other day, a documentary on a herd, where the mother of a young calf had got herself badly injured ..... and the other females began to distract the youngster, keeping it away from its mother because she was in the process of dying .... took a few days for her to limp along ....... and when she eventually lay down to die, the little one was too involved with the others to get upset. I found that to be a realy Supreme Form of Intelligence!

I have only heard that they can be gently washed to remove any dirt/grease marks, and then re-dyed, so you wont get water marks. Never done it, only heard this. (The dye for satin shoes is painted on so you dont get any inside the shoe!)

On my farm in SA we`d dig a huge hole and all the cans went in there ....with other composty stuff..... eventually an Avocado Pear tree would be planted in that hole - Avos LOVE old tin cans!

Avos that weren`t planted in tin can holes, if they developed fruiting problems, they`d get all the old rusty nails hammered into their trunks .......Then they gave good fruit!
