What cheek

Luckily I don't take internet dating seriously so no harm done. On the net you get so many opportunties to go on dates but you have to do a lot of weeding out. Some you drop after an e-mail or two, some you have coffee with and never see again. However, for me it's preferable to have a Skype chat and a meet as soon as possible. I don't waste time these days. God knows I wasted 12 years in a relationship. I move on quickly from one to the other. Doesn't mean I get physical with my dates, that I reserve for relationships. My dates are just a recon I go out meet the guy to be able to judge for myself in person.

What cheek

Yeah good for me. I don't take crap from anyone.

What cheek

lol that's impossible jeeps, you know Malta is just a dot in the sea, a rock

What cheek

I wouldn't say I have men problems. Just annoyed with the behaviour of some. the dating is an entertaining hobby that might one day yield someone who's a keeper.

What cheek

I wouldn't say I'm indiscriminate. I'd say I'm open to possibilities. My first relationship on cs was with a man I'd been e-mailing, before we met he sent me a close up picture and I was tempted to stand him up but I'd given my word so we met and the chemistry was good and I really fell for him. Dating isn't much of an effort when there aren't distances involved so at times it's better to cut to the chase and meet the person and see what you think straight away. My second relationship we e-mailed for 4 months before he flew out to see me and it didn't work so it was a waste of 4 months. I have my dos and don'ts as does everybody else. I don't tolerate time wasters. Cancelling a date shows lack of interest, why pursue?

What cheek

i live on a small island so with some guys I chat on Skype, others I just take the plunge and meet straight away to see for myself. I don't usually accept dates from faceless men but this one sounded ok at first. In bigger countries with the distances involved you tend to date less cause it's more of an effort. I average 3 dates a week on a good week, yet here I am still single. I'd gladly swap one good man I can have a relationship with with all the men I've been meeting.

What cheek

the joys of internet dating Boban. If I had a penny for every man who's asked me out I'd be rich but it's a case of quantity and no quality.

What cheek

I talked to this man on the phone. We agreed to meet as we live pretty close. On the day he cancelled. I told him not to bother me. It would have been a blind date as he has no photo. He'd said he was off work on leave yet when he cancelled he said he was busy. Now I keep getting e-mails saying he wants to meet and when he puts up a photo I'll see what I'm missing. In his profile he describes himself as handsome. The guy comes across as full of himself and I'm not interested in somebody who 's too busy to meet and cancels. If he'd been interested he'd have found the time. What cheek!

What should I do ?

update the guy should have returned from his travels yesterday. No contact a day later. I've decided seeing I sent the last e-mail, if he's interested he should contact me. Doubt he will. Another one bites the dust.

RE: feeling of depression....

The CS forum is not the place to write about depression. For those who don't suffer from this illness, can never understand and often give cold replies packed with useless advice. It is because depression is so hard to understand that it's best to only talk about it to a professional and to take medication. Depression isolates you from the rest of the world. Don't expect people on the forums to understand. I am often accused of negativity on the forum and subject to pack attacks. This is not the place to find empathy. Even the closest and dearest don't understand. Stick with the professionals.

RE: divorce

the free vote issue worries me. the people have decided and they represent the people. this is no longer a question of a free vote.

RE: divorce

Our politicians are doing an ostrich act. The party in government has taken a no stand and it is now saying it has to respect the will of the people and also the conscience of MPs. The battle is not over yet. There is a risk that parliament will not vote this law in. it's not the people. It's our politicians who don't want to distinguish between church and state and if they disregard this referendum it's political suicide. I should hope there would be protests in the streets. Democracy is too precious and our village country bumpkin politicians should bow to it and join the modern world.

RE: divorce

the proposal is actually modelled on Irish law so yes it takes 4 years of separation before one can apply for a divorce.

What should I do ?

ummm I think I know myself and have ample time to know myself. Lighten up will you please. Dating is not a chore it's fun.

What should I do ?

thumbs up

What should I do ?

I have plenty of hobbies, dating just happens to be one of them. Having been in a long term relationship I enjoy meeting different men and seeing if there's potential. men are definitely not the centre of my life.

What should I do ?

A man on another site when asked to tell me more about himself invited me to dinner. We couldn't make it that same week as he was taking his son to the UK for a week. We exchanged one or two e-mails he told me to keep in touch. I sent the last e-mail the same day he went travelling. I've had no reply and I guess it could be he doesn't have access to e-mail. If he doesn't reply should I send one last e-mail asking how his trip was and if we're still on for dinner? This is someone I' m interested in but in my experience of meeting guys online, a lot of dates get cancelled or dropped by both sides.

RE: divorce

An update - referendum result is a yes. people vote consistently with their minds, it's our politicians that are religious terrorists and need ousting. Just to clear the air for those who thought Malta was still stuck in the middle ages.

Morning D' Agosto. I've just read eat, pray love which was nothing to write home about and am reading another unremarkable book. Both were gifts. the one I'm looking forward to is my order from Amazon. So what books did you get?

RE: GREAT NEWS!!! ANSWER TO PRAYER!!!

Thank you for posting your story. In October this year I'll have been two years unemployed since returning home from London. I'm qualified experienced, yet can't find anything and I'm in despair. Your post is encouraging. I hope one day I too will have some good news to share.

Relationships are they over rated?

Being single brings a lot of freedom. No need to compromise on lifestyle issues etc. Are relationships over rated? Is it loneliness that makes us look for one?

How long have you been single?

Years or months?

Best place to meet a man

you're too far !!!

What's your preference?

i didn't miss the good days. I grew up in the 70s, swimming in pristine seas, clean and deserted beaches, countryside, camping, boat trips to inacessible bays, playing in the streets. When I started going to Paceville in the 80s most of the clubs were just opening. It was fab. BTWwe're still around 400,000 now.

What's your preference?

it's unrecognizable now. Highrise buildings, you have to fight for parking space and tons of clubs concentrated in one area. You saw malta at its best in the 70s. It's over developed now.

What's your preference?

Lol jeepers. i think with your answer you've scored a lot of points with the ladies.

What's your preference?

thumbs up

I'm a homebody too.
