RE: QUESTION:

I have a friend...

I've known him since junior highschool.

We became friends when his dad died.

His mom died in his early twenties,

around the same time he opened his first business.

He gets up every moring and goes to work,

to help support his wife and step daughter.

His capacity for forgiveness is beyond that wich I have seen

displayed in any other human being.

He has a hard time reading and writing.

Every couple of years we get into an argument about how smart he is.

If he came here...he would be ridiculed,

and treated as less then the others here.

Thank you, deeply, for being the voice I try to drown out of his head.

RE: I met mommas boy

Thud.

Women don't marry men who say things like,

get comfy taking a back seat to my real family.

Well...the smart ones don't.

Yes, Langley and I agree sometimes.

RE: If you could become invisible and reappear at will. What would you do.

We could go on a world tour of YMCAs,

and select a country to overthrow based on our findings.

Less overhead than global domination.

RE: I met mommas boy

Seems like a good reason to me.

RE: I met mommas boy

To be completely fair,

mine is the opinion of a divorced man,

who does not yet trust the durability of the marital unit.

My opinion may well, as they often do...

change in time.

I guess mostly what I'm saying is a good deal of time will pass in a relationship before my partner will hold equal position with me as family does, and I don't mean weeks or months.

RE: I met mommas boy

Yes, I am serious.

My partner on equal ground with me?...Absolutely,

wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not talking about jumping and running everytime a family member calls.

The bond in that unit "man/woman" is not the same as family,

and in my opinion it does not have the same power until it creates

a new family or many, many years have passed.

Adult?...To me adulthood is not about seperating from anyone,

it is about understanding how and why we are connected.

Most people would not take a back seat to their partners family,

and I understood my position would be unpopular.

It is my opinion there is a lack of reverence for our family bonds.

If a man will put you ahead his family, without the creation of a new family,

he is likely to walk away from the family you eventually create.

RE: I met mommas boy

I am embarassed by the number of men who stand by silently while women make a joke of this type of thing.

I have a bit of bad news ladies...blood is blood,

and girlfriends ain't blood.

I expect no woman to put me before her children or parents.

The only woman who will stand on even ground with my immediate family

is the woman that bears my children, and that will be because she is

their mother and they are my children.

Until that time...get comfy in that back seat,

or feel free to walk.

RE: Pictures added!

I varies...

a few hours,

to a few dats.

RE: What NOT to say!

Would it be as bad to say that reading this post

made me want to see for myself,

and I agree.

Hypothetically of course.

RE: New Bar Opened in Toronto- what do you think of the theme?

I think the "it's wrong" reaction is a scaled down cannibalism reaction.

Take away the act of killing a person for meat,

and cannibalism still seems wrong.

That's because it is not in the best interest of the species.

Without scientific intervention the consumption of breast milk would spread disease,
in reality if done enough it will still spread disease.

A baby is incapable of completing with an adult for a food source.
Nature's solution is for them not to have too.

RE: hello my people

Dyno.

I'm Ocee.

I'm self indulgent.

It's nice to meet you.

I forgot to introduce myslef before teasing you.

If I had, you would have laughed.

Next time I'll take care not to skip the foreplay...

promise.

RE: hello my people

That's like needing morphine and getting tylenol.

How charitable of you.

RE: New Bar Opened in Toronto- what do you think of the theme?

No for two reasons.

1) Ick ack...yuk,yuk,yuk.

2) Women aren't dairy cows.

RE: Do you vote?

I do not vote.

Participating in this system will not repair it.

Time will tell just how unheard the curently silent will remain.

RE: Of all the cars, trucks, bikes you've owned....

My favorite was a 1972 Cougar convertible.

I got a good deal on it in the early 90's,

because it had suffered from an engine fire,

and needed to be rewired.

351 ci. engine,

Centerline rims,

Black with red interior.

Only bad thing about it was the rims were unvented,

and that made the brakes heat up very fast.

RE: what do I do to get your attention

What would have gotten my attention...

is graciously accepting getting an answer

you didn't want to hear.

After all, you asked.

That sounds more harsh than it's meant,

and I do understand your negative reaction.

It's just that it would have been quite interesting

to see someone be gracefull in that situation.

Yup...I failed charm school too.

I'm ok with it.

RE: Is It Hard For You To Say What Is On Your Mind?

I have difficulty telling someone I don't want to continue seeing them.

The only thing thats gets me through it is that the alternative is cruel.

RE: If you could become invisible and reappear at will. What would you do.

I would hang out in the womens shower room

at my local YMCA untill I turned into a raisin.

Yup...I'm goin to hell.

very mad

RE: doing a survey here !!!

Sure.

RE: doing a survey here !!!

Will there be beer?

Or sandwiches?

Or Both?

RE: I was wondering something

Ewww...that is a kinda unpleasant visual.

If you drop a stick of dynamite in a lake

when it explodes a bunch of fish die from the pressure,

and come floating to the top.

Guess that doesn't help the visual much...

RE: date

Nope.

Great young lady I'm sure, but she's half my age,

and I'm not ready to start the dirty old man phase of my life...

yet.

RE: I was wondering something

Langley...I think some are trying to fish with dynamite,

they think by dropping this into the forums they will get emails.

Today...Tomorrow.

Good Morning, Siren.

I hope you have a great day.

RE: South Carolina Girl looking for companionship

She hasn't been here in over a month....

things either went very well,

or very bad.

RE: just call me dear abbey

You seem pretty reasonable too me.

You don't kill them and leave them wrapped in plastic

under your bed, do you?

Today...Tomorrow.

Such kindness Lilly...thank you.

Now if only I could master self control, I wouldn't need to start positive threads

to counter balance the bad karma I create...

in my less gentle moments here.

Today...Tomorrow.

Those sound like good things 1001.

Today...Tomorrow.

Three things I liked about today...

Fresh cut grass.

Leftover lasagna.

A couple laughs in the forums.

Three things I'll like about tomorrow...

Being a bit more gentle int the forums.

Snickers ice cream.

A clean truck.

Feel free to share.
