As being a guest "editorialist" on Paw's Daily News, I don't want to do anything that would reduce his readership or possibly cause protest in front of his house. For that reason, I'll keep it as minimally controversial as possible.
There are a lot of personalities on this site with a lot of views, many of which seem to be diametrically opposed. Generally people are able to post their views and others may "counterpoint" and life goes on. Sometimes though, it does seem like members may take things way too personal. Early on, I found myself in that situation. Most likely, I got a bit too "lippy" and really turned off many people. Over time, while not changing my views on many issues, I have worked to word things a little more delicately, while trying to make my point. Hopefully I've been successful to some degree as that's been my intent.
There have been a few threads that have absolutely gotten out of hand in the past month or so. In some cases it seems like more of a personal vendetta than just opposing view points. Maybe this coming year everyone can work to take off some of the sharp edges...maybe everyone can still carry their guns, but please put away the ammunition. That way no one gets harmed~
In the end, most of us want the same things in life, it's only the path we take to get us to that final destination.
As a little part of this commentary I will make a true confession. When I first came here, there was one person I absolutely detested. I thought he was arrogant, misguided and many other adjectives that I won't share. Our views on world situations and life seemed to be totally opposite...and in some case we still don't agree on many things. Yet, after getting to know this guy, I've really come to enjoy his posts, his sense of humor and his concern for humanity. Yes, our views are still markedly different in some cases, but I've really come to respect and enjoy his insight and perspectives. Sorry for my preconceived misgivings Leo~~
Thanks,
Bob (or Indy, if you prefer)

CAIRO. An Egyptian woman is seeking clarification from a court on whether her husband's declaration of divorce by text message is legally valid, a state-run newspaper reported on Thursday.
After missing a call from her husband on her mobile phone, Iqbal Abul Nasr received a text message from him saying "I divorce you because you didn't answer your husband," Al-Akhbar said. In line with sharia (Islamic law) men do not need to go to court to file for divorce. A unilateral declaration of divorce by a man, repeated three times, formally ends a marriage.
Cold Snap Causes Iguanas To Drop From Trees.
KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. How cold was it in South Florida this week? Cold enough to cause iguanas to drop out of trees on Key Biscayne. The cold-blooded reptiles go into a deep sleep when the temperature falls into the 40s. Experts said their bodies basically shut off and they lose their grip on the tree.
Then I'll go to bed and hope for sweet dreams. Wake up in the morning and face reality, which translates to, which reality do I want to deal with ? Wishes, hopes, dreams, delusions, illusions ?
I'll leave it up to you to plot my life. I trust you. Guide me.
Usually not and for the following reasons; distance, too long a period of time texting and calling. The longer you wait before meeting, the more your imagination will fill in the blanks. Non verbal communication at times accounts for over 80% of how we feel and perceive another, some call it "chemistry". Besides distance, there are careers, real-estate and family etc., to consider. However some do succeed.
