Ever kept a New Year's resolution? I cannot ever recall keeping one myself; therefore, I never even made one this year. Why fool myself?
What if many things in our lives are just illusions.
What if the recent record numbers of the stock market are being manipulated in this fairly weak economy?
What if the news we watch and depend on is not exactly what is really going on?
What if the money we own is just worthless paper being used by the elite to manipulate us like pawns to provide lavish lifestyles for them?
What if we are not really free but are really owned by the elite?
What if music is not something we just mindlessly enjoy but instead manipulate us with hidden messages?
What if ufos have visited us?
What if love really does not exist?
What if all these Hollywood celebrities were not born looking perfect and have had many surgeries and spent millions on themselves?
What if our country is not our country and is really theirs (elites)?
What if privacy does not exist anymore?
What if religion is really a fairy tale?
What if the majority of the food we are sold is not healthy for us to eat?
What if our water is not safe?
What if the majority of medicine is designed to keep the poor, poor and the rich, rich?
What if our dreams carry significant messages?
What if our memories don't remember everything accurately?
....any more possible illusions?
Can the elite rich connect with the people of poverty?
Strangely....or maybe not? I don't even have an Amazon account...well, none that I know of anyway. But just a couple of days ago I open a package from them. It is a gift, a book, Marcus Aurelius Meditations.
About a third of the way through it, I have found myself immersed in it.
I have not had much time to digest all of what I have read but enough to get me thinking a bit...something I would like to share here anyway.
It is about fortune and misfortune.
One person's fortune may turn out to be another's misfortune...and later be the initial person's misfortune in the end.
Likewise, one person's misfortune may be another's fortune...and later be the initial person's fortune in the end.
If that is the case, does fortune and misfortune really exist?
The book says, to my understanding anyway, to be truly happy, we need to discover an inner tranquility within ourselves. The external things are always changing....and warns against protecting your perceived self-worth with things such as: pleasure, pain, passion, wealth, fame, etc....
As a side note:
I found it interesting how the book mentions how everything today is the seed for tomorrow and how everything before was the seed for today.

A few days ago I buy a loaf of bread. I think this has been the first loaf of bread I bought in a few months.
Okay, that has nothing to do with the story. But, all of my life I have been buying bread. After buying a loaf of bread and having it for a week, I would always make sure to check it for any mold. Done this for all my life. Sometimes I would get lucky and get another sandwich or two out of it. Other times, not so lucky...tossed it.
Back to this recent loaf of bread. It was probably 12/3 when I bought it and I always love the freshest bread and check for the sell by date making sure I buy the freshest one. Well, this loaf of bread, I didn't have to do that. I grabbed the first loaf and seen the date....it was a no-brainer. It said, sell by 1/17.
I think I found magic bread.
What do you think and why? Unity on this planet of all people or not?
I just discovered something about myself. I am a person who usually showers or baths after waking up. However, there have been a few nights now where I did it before going to sleep. I have noticed that I sleep very well with cleaning myself before going to sleep vs. having usually restless nights if I do not.
Has anyone else noticed that about themselves?
As a side note...I hardly ever clean myself, that is why it took me 40+ years to discover this.
When it comes to politics, I try to keep an open mind. But, I do like to express how I feel when I see something.
What do I mean when I say keep an open mind, primarily....I watch all the main news networks, Fox, CNN, and MSNBC.
There is only one that I have noticed lately that is breaking down the background of Trump's recent picks to fill important roles in his presidency.
The common theme I see going on is racism.
There is no doubt, Trump won.
With the way he won....was concerning to me.
now...
With who he is surrounding himself with...is even more concerning.
BTW...
I like that little story that he shared at one of his rallies...
The story where that lady picks up the ill snake along the road and brings it home to nurse it back to health. The snake ends up biting the lady and kills her. The snake says, "You knew I was a snake."
Now....I don't know....this is just shear speculation...nothing more. I am writing this as to see what you think and maybe what you can add or disprove.
Back in the late 1990's, I have a very deep and long conversation with an elderly gentleman who believed the end was near us. He said from when the time, in the bible, when the hand wrote on the wall....the writing, the old man told me, was a number. He told me, add that number to the year when the hand wrote it on the wall and you will have the year when everything will end.
In addition, he told me that our whole money system will be reset and we will be forced to accept a number. If a person does not accept that number, it will not be good. For starters, you will not be able to buy or sell. Also, if you do accept it, you are in essence accepting Satan.
Here comes the politics. Trump has claimed that he was going to bankrupt our nation. This would basically reset our whole financial system. If he bankrupts our country, what will he replace money with? What will it do to the world? What will be our new way of buying and selling?
The Anti-Christ is suppose to be a very charismatic person and is said to have the answer for everything...all of the problems we face.
There is technology out there that would allow us to be all individually tracked and with databases, individually monitored.
In the Book of Revelations, it said in the end, the seven trumpets will sound....and there are seven Trumps.
If you look at all the seals each of the trumpets are said to break....it is interesting when you look at today's day.
Just something I was thinking of.
Recently addressed as Teflon Don, Donald Trump really appears to be coated with some sort of non-stick substance.
Trump claimed at one time that he could shoot somebody and not lose a single vote. Is that really true? How about it Trump supporters, is there anything that Trump can do that would make him lose your support for him?
I am confused. Watching the news tonight, of course it is all about Trump's election victory. Out on the streets, there were some voters for Trump who were interviewed. They were asked why they voted for Trump. In essence, they said they were voting against the elite. Since when does being a billionaire not make you an elite? They wanted to vote against the elite, so they voted an elite in.
I know....both choices were not the best. But that sort of rationale just does not add up to me.
Now with protest going on in the city streets, it makes me wonder what is next. The minority believe that Trump represents everything against them.
If Trump is not part of the establishment...not sure how he would not be, but if he is not part of it, I am willing to bet that this establishment is very unhappy right now. Going back to President McKinley, the powerful have had their hands pulling the strings of key political figures. If they have lost their control now, I have to wonder what they will do to regain it.
Anyway...just some thoughts I have had for a while now.
I hope the ruthless nature in which Trump won is not taken into the office of the most powerful man of the world.
I do agree with Obama, Trump does deserve a peaceful transition into office. He did win. I wish him, our country, and the world the best.
At a Halloween party over the weekend, I asked a woman what she was dressed as. Don't get me wrong, I could tell she put a lot of effort in her costume and she was by far the most in character. But, just what character was it?
Well, I asked her who she was dressed as. She gave me a look and then said she was the evil woman from 101 Dalmatians. I am like...oh....yeah....you look just like her. Honestly, I don't think I ever watched that movie and if I did, it must have been like 30 years ago.
Anyway, she tells me she has to go to the bathroom and leaves shortly afterwards. Did I offend her? Is it really that wrong to ask her?
Maybe she had a bad case of diarrhea or perhaps my breath?
