I was recently on Skype....the first time in many years. I had to download the program and make a new account. Anyway, after a few days of using it, it froze up on me. I had to restart my computer and when it was restarted, a pop-up box came up saying that another computer with the same ISP was connected.

I wrote down the exact message....but I cannot find it right now. I decided to uninstall Skype and the box has not popped up since. Is this anything to be concerned about? I am technology stupid. :(

Are you skeptical/sceptical about some new inventions or technology yet to come? Don’t be but if you insist, don’t talk about it too much. Some very bright and knowledgeable people made colossal fools of themselves in the past. Don’t let the same happen to you.

I have a few examples here for you, in the reverse sequence that it happened, of how people have made giant arseholes of themselves. Many of them were proved wrong with-in their own lifetimes. Bill Gates and Ken Olsen were proved wrong within ten years, Lord Kelvin in two years and Admiral William Leahy swallowed his words within months.

We Are Inside A Videogame (Simulation Theory)

At least for a week or two, while the PC is back in the shop, and I struggle with this IPad contraption. Not sure if I'll be using the old name. Now I'm Dreikaesehoch. Don't ask.3KH.

I’m not talking about small boxes of French fries shoved into your wrist, but microchips that can and are being inserted into human hands and in cases brains.

There are some benefits:
• Security, open locks etc.
• Medical data ( Emergency Services can scan you)
• Banking and security pins (Easy payments, cashless and cardless)
• Tracking and locating missing people, especially keeping an eye on kids.

What about the cons:
• RFID chips being hacked, biohacking, big brother always watching your every move.
• Brain implants, maybe beneficial but could they contain a “kill switch” and we can be remotely euthanized.

There some companies insisting on mandatory microchipping so employees can be tracked; refusal may impact on future promotions.

Would you be willing to be microchipped if you received more pay and benefits?

Two hundred dollar cheapskate HP PC was on the Fritz. Windows 10. Luckily had time left on Walmart 2 year extended warrantee. Sent it in and hoping they can't effect repair so I'll get a check, like the one I got recently from homeowners' for a free new roof on the Aa Ponderosa mansion after tree paid us a close visit. May then buy new one. But this machine was hanging around---twins won it guessing jelly beans number in jar at orthodontist. So dad gets to use it for a while. Spoiled rug rats got brand new wicked costly Apple LP's. Had forgotten how nice Apple platforms are. But old dinosaurs die hard. Aa.
