Of the mole,
Few crumbs
Left from
Last feast; –
No one
To dare
Walk in
This maze; –
*** Root ***
All the worms
Of the earth,
Must have
Known of
Such beast,
- For in
Their scare,
Sink deep,
To the east; -
*** Root ***
But the mice
- Lead the way
Out of
These caves,
Just as
If each,
Though dead,
To the light
Still craves – ”

Dull steps
Led me
To watch
Old trees
I miss –

Here, the crows
Catch dreams
Out of
Each noise:
Gray, brown
- Torn branch,
In a
Slant fall
Of nuts; -
*** Root ***
But they, –
- These dark,
Drab ghouls
Which seems
To grab
In their
Harsh claws
My thoughts,

In the green,
Deep world
Of the grass;
- Have some
Dew juice,
At least!.. –

From the east,
So keen,
Comes near –
This shy,
Sweet lass;
- Tell me
A story,
I have
No worry; -
*** Root ***
This rock
- Ticks fast,
While in
The new heart
A spree
Pour out
- In sluice
