Rejoice in the flow....

I've finally matured.
I'm starting to notice
How the hands of a clock
Scroll the time.
I realize I'm already not twenty.
So, I am not shy to cry .
I love nature and
I enjoy Aprils wind
And for the first time
I can see
That some things
Are deafeningly " too Late".
My voice trembles
Treacherously in my poems
The universe is right,
Our life just makes circles
On the water,
And I rejoice it,
Following the flow....

Preponderance

The least among us are often the best
Not always in referral to greatness
More speaking about a personality
Before the dive to the abysmal bottom
How lofty and often one may speak
May never never again be reached
The genius that tries be-riddles me
Makes a mockery of my freedom
The giants among us all still rivals
All the attention so badly needed
To separate the good from the bad
Where nothing so spectacular as evil
Ever rule over our hearts and minds
So sojourn on my soldier friends
Marching to the drumbeat called liberty
I follow only that what I can defend
And share hope like rays of sunlight
Breaking through the dense darkness
Above the shouts does freedom cry

About this poem:
Abstract about the loneliness and solitude of conviction, about the desire for freedom and liberty.
Independence and Unity that march side by side is stronger than the forces that separate them.

A battle of wills

Pain flowed through me, an onslaught of emotion
Bringing me back down to Earth with a solid thump!
Betrayal from a previous acquaintance sliced the air
With multiple daggers, maiming to cause harm
And as I'm attacked, not just energetically, but, also
Verbally, and emotionally, accusations fly, jeopardizing my life
Changes are best left forgotten but not forgiven
As a decisive choice is made between the two
Chess pieces are flung against the wall, as
There cannot be two queens on the same side in a match,
Or battle of opposition, where one brutally makes injury to mar
The other's reputation, where one creates an air of grace; in a response
To block and parry the verbal attacks; leaving what is left in the air
As a matter of fact, the fact that the queen in question tried to choose
Between me and another friendship that I've yet to lose,
But only time can tell what's really afoot; of a toxic connection
That's been maligned in the book, and as I record the last detail within
The devil has omitted my desire to fit in; but no more will I be trying
To do what's wrong and what's right, my only flaw was responding to it
In the limelight, the initial opening like was sent to gain a reaction,
Much less needed from the oppositional distraction
Pain, heartache and transparency overruled the roost,
Erring the way of injustice, between what one has to lose
The flags of Karma can undoubtedly be a b*tch, that's not my issue
As to what flag is which, but my teary self is left in tatters,
Will power not needed, so all that matters is the realization between
Which Queen will win, or whether it will travel to her next wingman within
I know, in my heart, that what I did was right, but my own flaw was answering
The message request at five minutes past five.

A Kind of Stop Watch

In the Twilight Zone there is an episode called
A Kind of Stop Watch
This guy gets a stop watch which can stop time
He ends up breaking the watch when he robs a bank
Then he is stuck forever with no one to talk to
I think that if you get a majic stop watch
You should press it before you leave home so it stays safe
If you can't part with it then put it in a cushioned case
I do so with my cell phone
What makes this episode one of my favorite is the character
He desperately wants to be a good communicator
But instead is the biggest bore on Earth driving everyone crazy
Including his boss who fires him
If you haven't checked out this series from the late 50's to early 60's
You should, it has a lot of great episodes

I let you go.

Today I opened the door to the cage around my heart.

I slowly pulled each memory out, smiled, cried, kissed it and held it close one more time, then opened my hands and watched the soft beautiful butterflies with gentle colours fly free.

I let you go today.

Gaze Upon the Clear Sky

Gaze upon the clear sky above,
Where stars twinkle with gentle love,
Like a canvas, it's painted bright,
Carefully etched in the night.

Observe the vibrant nature's art,
Unaware of your weary heart,
It doesn't know of your missteps,
Or how you've wandered, ill-equipped.

You've strayed from your intended way,
To know God, you seek day by day,
But your path is preordained,
Even when you feel restrained.

For a time will come, you'll see,
To know God, you'll be set free,
But until that destined hour,
Embrace life's uncharted bower.

Letting go, it's time.

There are times when you have to let go of someone.

Open the door to your heart and watch them walk away.

Close the cage back that you were slowly breaking down and lock the door.

Each time you hand over a key gets harder.

The old tarnished gates now have a shinning new lock, maybe one day.

Until then the key is in a box hidden away.

Sometime you wait for months and realise you were never enough.
That's when you need to be strong enough to find you again.

Love is hard to forget...

On lonely days such vacant space,
An empty chair, no warm embrace,
Her smile no more my life to grace,
The loss inflicts much pain.

Still haunted by the happy days,
Fond memories a smoky haze,
Warm seaside walks in sunshine rays,
Now all I feel is rain.

Those magic times I fondly miss,
When we enjoyed our lovers bliss,
I yearn a single fleeting kiss,
We join no longer twain.

In quietude a lonely prayer,
That hope won't wither to despair,
Across my eyes a vacant stare,
Peers out my window pane.

Time slowly helps my mood improve,
On with my life I've tried to move,
But wistful thoughts I can't remove,
Where lost love left a stain.

A candle flickers in the hall,
It faintly glows should e're she call,
Just once more to my heart enthrall,
I'm waiting here in vain.

No waning for the sun

There's no waning for the sun
this is the moon's prerogative
within heavenly drifting cycles
I tie my consciousness to neither
when the land stretches out afar
many can truly journey beneath
search out and adore peace
oh when the men are few
the words are few
simple and fine
like dandelion wine

NEW LIFE

Embedded image from another site

After long winter’s darkness and fear
Snowdrops under the snow appear
Gradually cold white melting away
Everything appearing in brown and gray

Sunshine and gentle warm rain
Signs of new hope after winter’s strain
Baby animals all over the place
And beautiful blooms showing their face

Year after year new life reappears
From the old life from the past year
Popping their heads up to regrow
The colors of the promised rainbow

We too are promised a new life ahead
When our old body enters winter dead
We will be reborn in the spring
For a new life with the King of Kings
