Skybow

Madonna Moon

In the still kiss of dawn
Madonna moon murmurs
goodbye to a favorite child.

She fades from a place
where birds, who once
slipped through small hands,
sing of freedom
in a fair, gold sky.

I stand on the edge of morning
scattering my dreams
towards tomorrow.

Frogs Lament

Why are you so cruel to us
Our legs you rip right off
Have to make do with wooden legs
So we can hobble around
All of this for frog legs feast
And there's not too much to eat
Or is it because when you kiss us
A prince we don't become
Please tell me I want to know
Why are you so cruel to us

Morning Solar

Embedded image from another site

I sometimes sit up for hours analyzing the night
Tracing lines from star to star mapping out my life
As I listen for the voice of the planets who's soul calls out to mine
Im captivated by a beauty so infinite beyond my eyes
In my dreams I dream I live on my own constellation
Two blocks from Orions belt three light years from the beginning of our creation
Where you can hear the universe sing its quiet lullaby
Like an angel that sits in heaven keeping a watchful eye
How beautiful the earth is under the lighting of the moon
As I float further into outer space my heart is there with you
The one I call my first love is the graceful morning sky
Because I know that when I wake up my dreams never say goodbye
They bring me into a new day where wild flowers bloom
As I plant my pocket full of stars into the ground as a gift for you

We Never Got to Dance!

Have I told you lately
How much you mean to me
Now that it’s too late to say
And it’s over, obviously

Still, I wish you could hear
All of my thoughts this clear
They’re from my lonesome heart
And meant for your listening ear

It’s such a sad state of affairs
When we lose someone who cares
But, these are the facts of life
We can’t always have who we like

So, we learn to move on to what’s next
In search of our happiness
Believing it’s around the bend
We could even find love with a friend

Because we never really know
Exactly what fate will bestow
We have to keep an open heart
As our feelings too play their part

Then, when we hear the call
Our instincts will confirm it all
With adrenaline’s rush in our veins
We’ll smile as we speak our names

And like children in a candy shop
Whose sweet tooth really affects us a lot
We’ll flavor each other so well
That our souls together will meld

Have I told you lately
How much I miss you like crazy
Even though we didn’t stand a chance
We did have a true romance

But, one of my deepest regrets is…

{{{We never got to dance}}}

The Storm

The storm passed close
Too close for comfort
And a breeze foul did blow
It threatened the ship
Indeed it rocked
As if struck a mighty blow....
I felt afraid and wanted to run
For comfort and shelter down below
Nay, I stood fast and cupping a hand
I yelled for my love to show
Please dear God
Do not take him from me now
As fear gripped my heart
And made it icy cold
I wondered if he'd abandoned ship
And left me all alone
The tears they flowed
But still I stood
Until I felt that my feet
Had turned to chunks of wood
And then from somewhere
Maybe the stern
My love he answered me
And as he walked back to me
My heart began to burn
I held him tight against my breast
And only then...
Were my fears laid to rest

Rain

Sitting here quietly watching the rain fall,
watching the drops form on my window pane,
so many memories from my mind I can recall,
some happy and many filled with so much pain,

The wind blows softly and raindrops meander,
sun shines then it dulls with the clouds,
smiling happily as I get my spirits to clamber,
one thing about rain it disperses the crowds,

Each drop falls to the ground unabated,
nourishing the earth to start new life,
life in itself is not rarely rated,
so much trouble and too much strife,

Gently the rain it keeps falling,
the clouds as well keep strolling,
smile to oneself and stop your stalling,
friends say get yourself together, try bowling,

But you wonder why you get the tears,
look at those drops giving life,
get over the problems and your fears,
soon be dark and then you have the moonlight,

The rain itself washes away all,
including your own self doubt,
so sit and watch it fall,
soon it will be warm and sunny you shout,

About this poem:
Rain is everywhere no matter where we are some get it heavily others sparsely yet it is very much like life itself we get good rain and bad we just have to adjust to overcome obstacles.

Was going to have a break but mind keeps ticking over and words want to flow, whether its good or indifferent it helps me to put down how I think or feel. So again the feelings get me to pen more.

Invisible

You ever walk among a crowd
But feel you don't exist
Looking around
There are couples everywhere
Wondering if someday
"Will that be me?"
Then realizing
No one even notices you exist
Some, Like us,
Exist only because
We are strong
Threw thick
Or thin
Pain
Or happiness
We know
This life
Is temporary.

Lasting Beauty

Flourishing from a parched earth without hope
Plastic red rose fading pink on dark grave
Thrown down an overgown river bank slope
Worthless lifeless object no need to save

A moment once for a sad occassion shared
Arranged so neatly in a styrofoam base
Such as a life where pain was never spared
Or cut bleeding from thorns in any case

Was a life never dried and blown to dust
When many frequent rains had came to pass
Growing tall and straight from the earth's soft crust
As tender as blades of new velvet grass

Life is like light being born so must pass
Stained glass windows through shards of broken glass

Crazy Beautiful

If the first act is love what is the final act? am i so transparent? what is the final act? crazy beautiful. try to feel alive. cold broken a puzzle of odd shapes. not letting go holding tightly. my dreams will never die never fade. growing darkness lingers. the light opens a door. graced by the touch of angel hair. I'm taken in but not taken all the way. hold me tightly. eternal rest eternal restlessness. boxed in a corner pushed through. holding on to the idea. shed a tear for the fear. never fear never leave. crazy beautiful. just want to feel. touch. curious distance i see all. needing to be. worth the chance. the game is over or just begun i cant tell. put a lid on the jar only to be shaken. king without a kingdom love without a lover. the dreamer never wakes fearing the dream will be lost. always broken never healed. all over in one spot. take a trip on fates wheel holding a piece of destiny. losing sight knowing all. throw a feather in the wind how far will you take me. if i fall don't worry I'm a feather i will float no need to catch me. don't let go. you are the wind you can take me anywhere why leave me here. waiting for the return waiting to fly with you again.
CRAZY BEAUTIFUL
