Well, but we were living with it for more than a year now. I see three possible scenarios:
1. The virus disappears of itself, as happened with "Spanish" flu for a century ago. 2. The virus mutates, but within the range of the existing vaccines. 3. The virus mutates so much, that the existing vaccines wouldn't work. Then we would need new vaccines and yes, we will live with it, as the alternative is to die of it.
And there is always a possibility of other new viruses.
Number of cases is getting down here, as well as number of covid-patients in intensive care and covid-related mortality. Number of fully vaccinated people gets up, ca 42% of the adult population (18+ of age) on 2021-07-06.
We use to have an influx of German holiday-makers here every summer and it's good for the local small business. This year, though, one needs a "covid sertificate" in order to enter Sweden, so I don't expect there will be as many tourists, as it usually would be.
Do Cyprus authorities demand a Covid-sertificate from the tourists? Well, they should.
I think, that once upon a time Johnson noticed that he's dandruffy looks appeal to a certain type of the English voters and therefore he's maintaining it.
I once saw a woman order a chocolate pizza. It was a pizza bottom with a lot of Nutella (or the like) smeared all over it, decorated with tonnes of sprinkles. You could get diabetes just by looking at it. Gross beyond believe. She ate it all.
You are welcome and I'm glad that you found it useful. The same Dr Lustig says a lot of what you said in your post in his another presentation from 2009 "Sugar: the bitter truth" and it also is worth every second. I checked and it turned out that our library has this book of his, but there's a queue, I put myself in line :)
But I don't agree that we are victims. Children, certainly, as they cannot chose and have to consume what their parents feed them. But the adults have choices. It's not that difficult to find information about what food is good for you and what's bad and why. Nowadays you can't put on a kettle without it telling you that you should eat more fibre and eliminate sugar. We cannot claim victimhood, only ignorance.
By the way, have you seen that somebody gave you a "thumb down"? Made my day :D
I call it service
Went to Youtube and discovered that it made a mix of the tracks I’ve listened to. Called it “My mix”. That’s service. And I don’t even pay for it.Who needs a man, when you have Youtube?
