Yes, it's totally off-putting, especially so in the real life. It triggers me to discretely disappear out of that person's life without letting them now why. (Which, I think, is one of my (numerous) weaknesses, but that's another subject.)
I did. Though I still of an opinion that wearing masks is rather a cosmetic measure at best. At worst it does hinder spreading of droplets and thus keeps us in a more sterile environment, than we are used to and would be healthier for us in the long run.
Remember that the Native Americans died en masse in common cold upon the first Europeans arrival? It's because their immune system wasn't trained to fight it. Quite possible wearing face masks "protects" us from all viruses and it might turn out to be dangerous with time.
Oh my! Staying in Spain was fun and joy, despite the pandemic. It's the working week after it was nothing to write home about. Sorry for inaccurate narrative, language barrier as you know :)
The first week at work after 3 weeks in Spain: nothing special, but not a lot of enjoyment. Windy Saturday and rainy Sunday mean I cannot go paddling. Got behind the group in my second Qigong course, must wound in the slack :)
Wearing masks isn't obligatory in Sweden, so no.
Yes, I do keep distance. I kept distance even before the pandemic: that's the nature of mine.
Can't say anything about France, but I recently (last Sunday) returned from Spain, there cheek-kissing was a norm before the pandemic. Not anymore. People also wear face masks and keep distance; hand sanitizer is at every entrance and everybody spritzes their hands. They suffered hugely in spring (a lot of deaths and a long lock-down) and I understand they fear the repeating of that nightmare.
On the positive side: they say that the sea never was as clean and clear as it is this summer.
Well... Sweden wasn't locked-down, that makes remembering easier. But things are not back to normal here either: I still work from home and I meet friends only outdoors. Then we all are to keep distance and wash hands - and I don't see anything wrong with those two rules even after the pandemic.
Everyone has their prejudices and preferences. You have your own as well, I'm sure.
As to your question: there are troll farms that originate, along with other certain places, from some African countries. That can be one of the reasons that women are not eager to make an acquaintance with you.
Then economic migrants, who are now invading Europe under pretense of being war refugee, are not especially popular either.
My phone is leaving its frame, only slightly more than 3 years old. Hoped it would last at least 4. No luck. Will get a new one as soon as I have time for it, probably next week.

What more languages you cannot squeak?
