RE: Why Are There So Many Mass Shootings?

But it's not the criminals that shoot up schools, it's the deranged, and unless your country does something to tighten up those who can purchase and own guns it can only get worse.
How often does one hear about a robbery being stopped by a member of the public shooting the criminal? It is as rare as chicken teeth.

RE: The shambles that is Robert Mueller and the Special Counsel

the reason being that Fox news is totally biased towards Trump, so for the brainwashed it is perfectrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
"Fox News typically looks at the issues from a conservative perspective and also has a number of on air personalities that are strong supporters of Trump, such as Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Tomi Lahren. FNC typically skews conservative as there is less criticism of Trump, therefore the majority of stories are pro-Trump.

In review, FNC publishes stories with emotionally loaded headlines such as “’They Wanted It to Blow Up’: Limbaugh Says Success of Trump-Kim Summit Caught Media Off Guard” and “Tucker: 2016 Russia Collusion ‘Witch Hunt’ Now Extends to Jill Stein.” When it comes to sourcing they typically utilize pro-Trump pundits such as Rush Limbaugh who has a very poor record with fact checkers, as well as credible sources such as the Wall Street Journal. Fox News is also known to publish right wing conspiracy theories, although after being sued they retracted the story. FNC has also been deemed the least accurate cable news source according to Politifact.

Overall, we rate Fox News strongly Right-Biased due to wording and story selection that favors the right and Mixed factually based on poor sourcing and the spreading of conspiracy theories that later must be retracted after being widely shared. (7/19/2016) Updated (M. Huitsing 6/4/2019)"

All other fact-checking sites report the same bias.

RE: Dating sites ... do they help you or use you ?

I think for some it is like being a child in a candy store, they find one, try it then see another that maybe is sweeter, more delicious, then it gets out of control and they are forever trying another and another, never stopping until they have tried every sweet in the shop, then the sugar rush hits them and they turn into right wing trollsrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: what's the most hospitable country you know?

Yet when I visited Jakarta and Bali I found the local people very friendly, I was invited to a wedding that was taking place near by, had never been to a Muslim wedding, found it fascinating, they even invited me back to the “reception” treated me like one of the family, yet I had only met them that day.
How people treat you is more about how you treat others, and what expectations you set. Rather than a race or country.

RE: Will You ever be a success story - Maybe you are already...

I've always had the opinion that if you have to tell people you are successful, then you really haven't reached true success, those people with true success are the ones who don't need to boast about it.
Just my own opinion, as I believe that success is a personal thing and varies with every individual.

RE: Was Jesus a Socialist ?

Karl Marx was the father of atheism, he had no connection with the Jewish religion whatsoever, when he died he was stateless so was buried in Highgate cemetery in an area reserved for non-believers, it was not until the 1950's that his family and friends had a proper tombstone made for him.

So here is a wiki entry for your perusal.
"The Jewish–Roman wars were a series of large-scale revolts by the Jews of the Eastern Mediterranean against the Roman Empire between 66 and 135 CE. While the First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 CE) and the Bar Kokhba revolt (132–136 CE) were nationalist rebellions, striving to restore an independent Judean state, the Kitos War was more of an ethno-religious conflict, mostly fought outside the Judea Province. Hence, some sources use the term Jewish-Roman Wars to refer only to the First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 CE) and the Bar Kokhba revolt (132–135 CE), while others include the Kitos War (115–117 CE) as one of the Jewish–Roman wars.

The Jewish–Roman wars had a dramatic impact on the Jewish people, turning them from a major population in the Eastern Mediterranean into a scattered and persecuted minority. The Jewish–Roman wars are often cited as a disaster to Jewish society. The events also had a major impact on Judaism, after the central worship site of Second Temple Judaism, the Second Temple in Jerusalem, was destroyed by Titus' troops. Although having a sort of autonomy in Galilee until the 4th century and later a limited success in establishing the short-lived Sasanian Jewish autonomy in Jerusalem in 614–617 CE, Jewish dominance in parts of the Southern Levant was regained only in the mid-20th century, with the founding of the modern state of Israel in 1948 CE. "
So again why would the mighty Roman empire carry out the wishes of a people they had conquered?
As for Jesus being one man, he had a large following, and that may well have pointed the Romans to finding the guy who was causing a spanner in the works of their empire.
Of course, you being there at that time, may have a different viewlaugh laugh laugh

RE: Was Jesus a Socialist ?

Maybe according to the bible, but that book was written by men who wanted to create a cult, rather than historical records written by Romans who just wanted to record events as they happened.
everyone has the choice to believe whichever they want.
I personally prefer historical records to a book full of lies and a multitude of historical mistakes.
At that time in history the Romans had control of the jews, so why would they do something they asked to be done, unless the man in question was already a thorn in their side.

RE: Wow!

Sadly that is no longer the case, as AI advances so the machines will advance, until they are capable of reproducing a better more efficient and cognitive machines, these new "breed" of robots will see humans as unnecessary and a threat to the natural balance between the environment and life and worse, to themselves.
That will end with a real apocalypse.

We are already almost at the point where we can "grow" a computer, one that needs no electricity. Which means we "The inventors" have no means to turn these devices off!
It's a terrifying thought in my opinion, especially with the power of military having the main control over these "inventions".

RE: Was Jesus a Socialist ?

The flaw in your argument is China, a country that has no religion and yet has a strong governance.
Capitalistic in some ways, socialistic in most other ways.

RE: Was Jesus a Socialist ?

Not sure about that lol, but think he would have hated the Romans ruling his homeland.
He may well have supported the dissolution of the EU, Shame more people can't see the same mistakes being made

RE: Was Jesus a Socialist ?

At the time Jesus was around the Romans were using a system very close to capitalism, seeing Jesus as a threat to their plans, they arrested him and put him to death.
So history would suggest that Jesus was pro-liberal and pro-socialism, and that the greedy capitalists, murdered those who opposed their ideology. somewhat the same as today, but instead of murder today they just make up lies and twist the truth to malign and destroy those who think differently.
Personally I would say the idea Jesus was the ultimate Hippie is just about as close as you can get to his political ideology, neither for or against the left or right, but taking humanity as a whole and showing comfort and consideration for EVERYONE, including the environment and nature.
"Make love not war" had to be his original quotation.

RE: Men shorter than 175 cm (5'9'')

I've never understood why women make such a big deal over a man's height, yet get very sensitive when a man suggests he want a slim woman.
Surely it is what is in a person's head and heart that matter the most, not their physical size or height.sigh

RE: War Master

Even better, would be the entire world's countries destroying all weapons, including nuclear. Sadly, the bullies and cheats would never let that happen, as they know without weapons they are weak and cowardly, plus they make so much money from starting wars it would bankrupt them.

RE: War Master

England is as much an island, as saying Ohio is an Island or Florida.
Great Britain is an Island. The British Isles would be a better term if you wish to say Britain is an Island, as there are thousands of Islands within Britain.

You're welcome professor

RE: Being asked to cs with someone on Flawed Skype

Not true
The security breach mentioned can only affect computers running MS operating systems not a unix based OS.
There is a very simple fix for the above problem, get rid of all MS systems and apps, and use an alternative operating system, plenty available and most are based on Unix.
MicroSoft has grown too powerful and has no regard for their customer base, better to find an alternative sooner rather than later.

RE: Which age group of women, would men prefer to date?

Then again, most postmenopausal women are don't get taken in by men looking for submissive women they can control. Postmenopausal women have more experience than young submissive girls, so they understand making love is at its best when both partners are equal in bed.
So guess that really bugs those who think older women are too old and younger women are easy prey. lol
