Do You Know Who St Patrick Wasonline today!

RE: Do You Know Who St. Patrick Was?

Reply to the first comment:

There cannot have been Eastern Orthodox religion in Ireland in the fourth or fifth century AD, since the schism in Christianity whereby the Eastern Orthodox religion separated from what thereafter was to be called 'Roman Catholicism' dates from 1054.

Yet there may have been a large influence of Hebrew on early Christianity. After all Matthew's Gospel originally was written in Hebrew. Christianity only was proclaimed state religion in 395 AD. By the time of St Patrick, the use of Latin in Christianity was far from general.

How to Dress to Attract a Man A Guide for Women over 40online today!

RE: How to Dress to Attract a Man: A Guide for Women over 40

I agree with this article. We update our vehicles, why not our bodies? Women look much older than they need to because they refuse to do something so simple as change their outdated 60's or 70's hair-do! People think I am much younger than I am because I do NOT 'dress my age.'
I think updating one's appearance --- male OR female -- is a small sacrifice if it will attract a mate.

Finding Meaning in Lifeonline today!

RE: Finding Meaning in Life

Your article topic is very encouraging and mostly for seniors that are retired, elderly that are living alone, and general people that are not active and are home bonded.Finding purpose in life more than ourselves is so important. We have to view life as being part of the world not only surviving but connecting to our enviroment, family, and community.

4 Warning Signs That The Man Youre Dating Might Be A Psychopathonline today!

RE: 4 Warning Signs That The Man You're Dating Might Be A Psychopath

This is a perfect description of what we use to call a womanizer. Being called a womanizer is by far not a compliment; he's however not the criminal most people think of when "psychpath" is the subject an article.

Dating a womanizer is tricky, scary perhaps while you're not aware of the kind of man you are with.

... and never think this type of behaviour is limited to men only. The female equivalent is quite as treacherous. She may be called a 'man eater'. Stealing your heart and thinning your wallet will be her main impact. After she's gone, you'll wonder how you could have been so stupid.

Perfect Profiles Avoid These 7 Online Dating Mistakes to Find a Real Relationship

RE: Perfect Profiles: Avoid These 7 Online Dating Mistakes to Find a Real Relationship

I don't agree with the part about the best relationships only happening with like age couples. My maternal grandparents had a 20 year age difference. They were happily married for 45 years and had 6 children.
My paternal grandparents had a 16 year age difference and were married for almost 40 years, until death separated them. My parents had a 23 year age difference and had the kind of marriage most women would love to have. My sister is 21 years younger than her husband, but they are very happy and have three great kids.
I have several friends that have considerable age differences with their spouses that are happy as well. In fact, it's my observation, that marriages with a greater age difference between the husband and the wife tend to last longer than those where people are closer in age.

4 Signs That You Are A Naive Woman When Online Dating

RE: 4 Signs That You Are A Naive Woman When Online Dating

One would like to think that an online dating site would want to encourage people to meet and date others. After all, the more success stories a site has, the more popular it becomes. If the site is ad supported then, obviously the more users a site has, the more money it makes.
Since I've been on here, it seems that every place I look or click is some article, blog, or some post that is actually discouraging.

Call me an optimist, but I still believe that there are legitimate, honest men out there who want to meet real women. I also believe that there are people out there who still believe in love and romance. I'm one of them.
Granted, a large percentage of those people on this site are probably just looking for one night stands or casual relationships and generally write this whole site of as an entertaining joke. But, there are a few who are looking for a long term committed relationship. Yes, the marriage word. I'm one of those people.
Those of us who are legitimate, honest people looking for love on here
deserve a little bit more respect. Quit talking down to us. We are not idiots. We are intelligent adults capable of making our own decisions about people.
Love can and does happen. Who's to say it can't happen on here?

Scams Aimed at Seniors and How to Avoid them

RE: Scams Aimed at Seniors and How to Avoid them

My dad is in his 80s. He got a call purportedly from FBI officers in India (that should have had alarms bells ringing) who were hot on the tail of someone who had scammed my dad the year before. They said they needed seed money for the operation. My dad asked if I could lend him some money (he didn't say what it was for, and I didn't ask) I gave him $2000 and my brother gave him a thousand. Needless to say that was the last we saw of that money. He asked for more money but this time we asked what he needed it for, and said no. He was still convinced that he was going to get a big reward for helping the FBI catch the scammers ... we couldn't seem to get through to him that he was being scammed again.
So YES ... the elderly can be vulnerable.

Winning Against Your Girlfriend

RE: Winning Against Your Girlfriend

I found it offensive as well. I am a woman and I am not ruled by emotions in an argument. (In regards to emotions, I have met many men who were just "emotional" as women when they were upset.)

This article is full of untrue stereotypes. Male or female, you won't win an argument with an unreasonable person no matter what you do. You will win an argument if you are right and the other party concedes your point is justified. Its not gender based, women have just as much ability to reason as men. If you have not met an "unreasonable" man, you must not get out much.

4 Signs That You Are A Naive Woman When Online Dating

RE: 4 Signs That You Are A Naive Woman When Online Dating

I agree with the above advices. But what about an honest man, who writes a nice, and perhaps loving, letter to an intellectual, intelligent, amazing and beautiful girl; especially, if he is well experienced in life, and keeps in the back of his mind, that the attractive force between male and female can create love between a man and a woman, which can last forever and he believes that this attractive power should always be protected? I wonder!
