But a new poll proves them utterly wrong.

A new poll reveals that very few Americans say that illegal immigration is not a problem.
A wide-ranging Economist/YouGov survey gauged the level of concern Americans have on the issue to find that only 7 percent of the overall public say illegal immigration is “not a problem”; 2 percent of Republicans, 7 percent of independents and even 12 percent of Democrats agree with the statement.

Gee. I cant imagine why it would want its drooling readers to find it difficult to find that.
Trumps ratings are still about mid 40's which puts him up with or better than obozo. Depends on what polls you look at. Just the same, be careful with them. Personal indicators around you might be a little more accurate but still not full proof.
I'm much more inclined to think the truth is, that more support the border wall than are against.
None of this equipment is hard to find and all but the highest top dollar set would be well under two thousand dollars. Plasma cutters will slice through anything and at record speed. Well! so much for the billion dollars " White Elephant ".
PS: Any welding supply or industrial supply shop or catalogue will have everything you need to utterly burn large holes in the fence. Just think, five billion to build it and approximately fifteen hundred dollars to defeat it. Wow! no wonder the democrats don't want that worthless thing!

Rather than spend 20 billion (trump's own number) on a wall that will keep taking huge resources to maintain, it would make sense to finance a better checking system, so that those who remain after their visa expires, are caught and then sent back to their original country.
Facts also show that you are safer being with immigrants than the local population.
Drugs are smuggled into countries around the world, even those with search and detect systems in place, so again the wall will do nothing to stop the drugs entering the USA.
The best and easiest place to buy drugs is inside a prison, and they have (usually) a very secure wall around them.

That is one rambling piece of disconnected thought. It would be funny were it not for the fact that the OP is supposed to be a professor. How do you go from the huge difference between illegal entrants and illegal immigrants (which you don't tell us) to figures on legal immigrants overstaying their visas? Your sentence doesn't support a conclusion...lol.
