APOLOGIES FOR HISTORICAL ACTS

The Duke and duchess of Cambridge are visiting the Carribbean at present, and have faced opposition from inhabitants, particularly in Belize. The objection is to Britain's history and connection with the slave trade and failure to apologise. The Duke said that he was sorry for the abhorrent practice of slavery.
Should any country apologise for their wrongful acts in their history even though the present regime is not in any way responsible.
How many countries can say they have a blameless history?

To some extent reparations should be made. (Maybe in the form of capital works, such as in foreign aid, to build schools, hospitals, etc)

Btw, Despicable little Johnny Howard was an Ex PM (and, for mine, the very worst one, we have had to suffer under).

Well God created the human race, so he's responsible for all that has happened in history. I think he owes us all. Whether we believe or not.

Should Putin ever apologise to Ukrainian people for his act of war and killings and should the Ukrainian people ever forgive him. Should Russian pay for the rebuilding of Ukraine. Should Putin be tried for war crimes?

A lot of poor starving Irish were deported to Australia for petty crimes. So as a small gesture of defiance we sent Queen Victoria on the same journey. However we might allow her back soon, maybe if Ireland is once more united.peace

When a country can be proud for their past right full things , then they Must be Sorry for their Past Wrongdoings as well..

Specially when it comes to invade (by hook or crook) into another country and in the name of rulling , they start torturing the people there ...
