Why isn't Britain apologising for what they have done to this world?
I was asked this question by an American on Sunday at a beach bar.I replied, "have you ever needed penicillin? If so, thank Britain."
Who invented the internet, trains, computers, radar, navigational instruments, threshing machines, the wireless radio, tarmac, television, cash machines, batteries and jet engines? All from Britain!
Without Britain, many "First World" countries would still need to live in mud huts and eat roaches off a stick.

regarding the radio... "In 1895, a young Italian named Gugliemo Marconi invented what he called “the wireless telegraph” while experimenting in his parents' attic. He used radio waves to transmit Morse code and the instrument he used became known as the radio."
But this was the one thing Britain used to get right at least relative to other lands. The ability to reform and adapt in time with things as they are. But today it's just a senile old goat here to try and regulate social media. It's embarrassingly rigid and backward but this does not stop them trying to hyper-industrialise. It's the worst of the old and the new, the worst of both worlds and this is why life in Britain gets worse every year.
Depending upon one's perspective ... MMmmm? ...

We should apologise for our historical and present wrong-doing, as should every country.
Just think of the difference between a child who is taught to apologise and an unfortunate child who lacks the guidance of empathy, humility and consequence: it can be the difference between a brain surgeon and a serial killer.

So why are you shouting
So why are you shouting
With the faint hope that you might actually listen
Good luck.
