Stink, Stank, Stunk...

It's winter in the Northern Hemisphere and I'm reminded that people sometimes bathe less when the climate is cold(er) and that's their prerogative. I used to work with a guy who came from a Caribbean island where they didn't have running water in his village. His family had to walk to the well, pump it into buckets and carry it back to their house.

I'm not much for camping and thankful to have grown up living in a city environment. Friends have rented a Winnebago when they want to 'rough it' and drive around some remote campsites in America... shower and toilet are onboard. Oh, we've got it easy!

The point being: I understand because of environment, people have different levels of hygiene... that's a given and in many cases not related to their education or financial status.

Talking to a friend this past weekend, she mentioned that Trump stinks. I thought it was a political joke and she said. No, it's for real. He has offensive body odor.
C'mon, I said... he's extremely wealthy, probably has 150 suits, owns multiple golfing country clubs, hangs with other wealthy and influential people. How can that be possible?

Her response was: Google it.

This is my biggest pet peeve; having lived in different countries, I've noticed that some people seldom take a bath.barf barf
... and why was perfume invented?
To mask out body odor...
yikes , it will make body odor worsebarf barf
He lives off fast food and diet coke which will affect his scent, but making it an element of campaign strategy against him is pretty ignoble and cringeworthy.
Reading this blog brought back some memories of my younger days.
Doing reconnaissance one needed to stay for days in the veld finding and losing tracks. Your senses are are pushed to the limits especially smell, hearing and eyesight. Tobacco smoke, deodorant and scented soap can be smelled for miles but one small population could also be detected and identified without any problem from kilometers away, the Himba. One of the interesting facts about the Himba women is that they do not bathe. wow The area in which they live is accustomed to droughts. The men traditionally are the only people allowed to bathe in their culture and to this day, the women take a daily? smoke bath in order to maintain personal hygiene. Trump wouldn't come close to these absolutely adorable folk. laugh
Anyway above story was told to me by close friends a long time ago.
For once I agree with youwow

That's because I'm objective. tip hat
I haven't had a bath for about 16 years
I only have showers in my house rolling on the floor laughing
I saw on YouTube that Filipinos take showers with a garden hose and bucket
We had a man a work who had terrible body odor. We thought he just didn't take showers but he told us that he has bromhidrosis and no matter how many showers he takes he still has bad body odor.

Stinky armpits and smelly sweat aren’t always due to skipping a shower. Certain medical conditions that are out of your control can also cause body odor.

Medical conditions that cause body odor:

people in slums do that.laugh
I've seen a doco about this before; even bad breath can be caused by some disease, not just being lazy.
