Sack the chef ?

If a restaurant serves you food that doesn't taste good,do you :

1. Pay and walk out?
2. Complain and ask for something different?
3. Pretend that it is OK but never go there again ?
4. Just ask for something different to avoid vendetta by the chef and waiter ?

In all honesty... in this order 1. and 2. however if the food is burnt... 2. and 4.

it was on the menu i picked it at the end of the meal tell the waitress ( nicely ) what i think of it and never eat there again .
