Waiting in anticipation . . . .
The days and weeks are passing and soon the time will have passed. It's been a month since we last had any rain. The rainfall season is almost gone, and our dams are almost empty. This does not bode well for our summer months, when temperatures in the city area average around mid - upper 30s C, rural areas can hit upper 30's to mid 40's.
The farming communities will be hard hit, which in turn affects the food supply, which in turn will affect us as consumers.
If there is no change in the weather pattern soon . . . it seems like we will be exeriencing massive water restrictions here SOON ! ! !

Come on parti, I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could get some here ? ? ?
thanks for the thought
Here the summer seams to rain away, and down south in Norway the town Gjøvik is hit by flood, and been isolated...
Could have been more iequal distribution of the rain...
AAAhhh, water at last ! ! !
Thanx my friend
Promise I wont waste it
you're right, often there is rain ALL OVER SA, with the exception of CT
It's crazy
The government is very rich because they have oil, so people don't have to worry about anything which is a very sad thing ..
As one can see, what happens in one part of the world can dramatically affect the other parts as well .. We should all think as though we live in a big country called the world and stop being selfish ..
i often get frustrated with some people myself, their attitude seems to be, if I can afford it, its Okay, to waste . . .
Even with electricity and the shortages we have been experiencing, people still have multiple outside lights burning, all the inside lights burning during peak hours and some even keep lights on throughout the night.
Only when it started hitting their pockets, did they start being more conscious of it.
The flip side of the coin is , '"I don't have to pay for it . . . it's Okay"
this attitude seems to be prevalent amongs those who don't have easy access to these facilities and are receiving basics free of charge from the government. You could drive through the informal settlements and see water gushing from taps which have been left to run at full blast
My hope is that the new generation of youth will be more aware of the global shortages, and learn to appreciate it . . .
wish ya rain....(if there were sum emoticons related i'd put them here)...except this one (meanin - hey clouds come there pl. to coffee and af)....sumth like that
WE have had a hell of a lot of rain this month in Germany.
Wish we could send you some.
STill all your Gov has to do is send up some aircraft and
let the clouds burst, but no they just won,t do that. Why I
can never fathom out.
Its the same in the middle east they can weigh the clouds and
let the rain fall.
Hopefully, the rains will arrive soon.

I heard rain falling on teh roof this morning,
got all excited and jumped up, by then the rain had stopped, I went outside anyway to see if more was coming . . .
only to be greeted by the most beautiful blue skies . . .
I'm betting that idea will only work if there are rain clouds around???????
You're right, the greater restriction should have been in place already, but I guess they're waiting until the dams are empty . . . after all its not empty YET
