People are still good.....
I live in a small community (13,370 people) The ecomony has hit this area kind of hard, however, you can see signs of "downtown" trying to come back to life.ANYWAY, just last night I had to run out to the store and went to WalMart (I HATE WalMart) but again, small community, few choices. As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw a Dayton, Ohio News truck and I saw the reporter being recorded as he read from the paper he was holding. I stayed in my car until they packed it up and pulled out of the parking lot. My thoughts, of course, were "What happened NOW"?..
Went in, did my shopping (nothing appeared out of place. Nothing, I thought, that would warrent a News Story) As I was paying for my purchases, I asked the cashier why there was a news station there earlier. Her response gave me cold chills (in a GOOD way) and nearly brought me to tears.....
A man walked in to WalMart on Friday with $30,000.00, went to the Layaway Department and paid off peoples Christmas Layaways (toys and childrens things mostly). He went in anonymously and insists to stay that way. What an unshelfish, amazing thing for a person to do. 200-300 families were impacted by this man's generosity
Such a breath of fresh air when, typically, all you hear on the news are bad things......

Another cool thing is, some of the people that benefited brom this man's generosity are taking the money they had planned to put on their own layaway and putting it on others. A "Pay it Forward" kind of thing.
