Time to figure things out...................

SO...........my last day of work was yesterday. Others I worked with have lost their jobs too. I've been on several interviews and awaiting a call for a second interview with another company, but what to do in the meantime? I've never been without a job...you know, a place to go every weekday confused I know I'm very lucky in that regard......

Guess it's time...pretty late in life, I must say.....to figure out just who I am without a job. I'd hate to think that my identity is all wrapped up in what I do for a living. I mean, your job....................it's NOT WHO YOU ARE....it's just WHAT YOU DO....right???

Then why do I feel a bit lost??? sigh

Guess it's on to a bit of self-discovery.... wave

I lost my dream job at 45. It completely devastated me. I moped for 10 years and was angry all the time. I look back and think of the things I could have done but didn't.

Check with all the state agencies, federal agencies and the like. I know you will find something!
Hi lgs kiss and handshake

I'm in a similar position...almost.

I lost half of my work.

in Spain to find a job is a big problem now.

But I said to myself, I'm a good worker, and it's just a matter

of time and money which is never enough.

I took a deep breath and raised her head and wait...

it'll all come out in the wash... but we must be

patient. comfort

Angel... wave Yep....that's my plan! Concentrate on my house and yard....catch up with friends and maybe even get a hobby, which I've never really made time for before. Thinking I'll find some fulfillment from new stuff wine
Ed... handshake I'm not really mad....or moping...which is quite strange confused just feeling a bit lost. My life has always been my work and my family, so it kind of feels like I've lost half of myself sigh BUT.......maybe it's just time to switch up my priorities...... cool
fotinia... handshake I think the waiting is the hardest part, isn't it? I try to take control of situations, but this (aside from continuing to apply and interview) is something I can't control...I'm out of my element. But I'm sure things will work out eventually and I have enough around the house to keep me occupied.....
Lukeon... wave Actually, I've applied for those jobs!!! They tell me I'm not qualified enough crying Seems my swindling strengths are less than they require...... grin
Heck, And here I was thinking how helpful my comment would be to you both,, moping Well,,you win some and lose some, things are bound to change for the good.: thumbsup: comfort Don't lose faith in the system.frustrated
Lukeon.... The SYSTEM????? Really??? uh oh uh oh

Women's ingenuity and fortitude knows no bounds.

it took some time but i did find a job and it turned out to be a better job than my last,,, also try not to spend to much time looking on your computer for work i found it's better to just get out and look,,, because interacting with others when looking for work well make you feel better about your self at the end of the day

lgs: I think I will be in the same situation as you in a month's time. My company is going to close operation in Vietnam. This happened to me a year a go when my old company also left Vietnam due to economic difficulties. I have been in such a fluctuating state for 1.5 years and seeking stability makes me really tired.

My mind can't think of anything else besides work. I think of it before I sleep and after I wake up every morning. Though I told myself to stay calm, honestly I hate what I am experiencing now..
kiku_hana..... handshake So sorry you're going through this yet again... sigh I can't imagine. You must be a strong person....twice in such a short time. We aren't alone, unfortunately there are many of us. But I like all of the positivity I find here. Maybe we're meant to find something better...more fulfilling....maybe we're meant to find ourselves...daydream I'm sure everything will work out for you hug
