It's just go...go...go...go and when you think he's done he goes some more..... wow This is his first overnight by himself and, I have to admit, I'm a little bit scared laugh laugh Figure I'll find something outdoors he can "help" me with where he can funnel some of that energy grin I'm sure we'll have a good time...............but, I may be totally SPENT by the time he goes home.......help

Oh, lucky you grandma! I am jealous now, I too want my grandkids on a visit. But not today, I will see them on the 18th of June, but that's way to long for me to wait. Take you grandson out for a walk in nature, he will use a lot of his energy doing happy things and there is a lot to see in nature. I used to take my grand daughter into the forest when she was on a visit, and she ask me if we can go there again soon when I visited the last time. SO need to take her into the forest. I wish you the bestest time in the whole with you grandson and it will be sooooooo good to have him on a overnight sleep, I'm sure. Have fun!teddybear
Welela... wave I've always taken my grandchildren overnight. I love it and I think it's important that the days/nights be all about them. You know...what THEY want to do...what THEY want for dinner.....what THEY want to play. We always find something to get into and it's their special time. I have 7 grandchildren and we all have OUR stuff that we do together. They all love to "help" with things and , as you suggested, they LOVE to go for walks so, that's at the top of my list of things to do thumbs up Glad to hear you're going to be spending time with your granddaughter....the time passes to SLOW before they get here and too FAST while they're with us. Enjoy your time wine
Have a wonderful time!
abagail.... wave Thanks! I'm sure we will just as I'm sure it'll take me a few days to recuperate..... laugh laugh
Well yes, but ... it's like winding up a clockwork toy, eventually it stops and sleeps! laugh

I am sure you will love it. bouquet
Abagail...Oh I KNOW I'll enjoy it thumbs up I love having them by themselves. You know, when they're not competing for attention. Their true personality comes out...seeing the world through their eyes.....watching their responses to even the littlest thing gives you a whole new outlook on life. They seem to find the most enjoyment in the smallest of things.
I do not have grandchildren yet...
but I know that kids love to do most in the world.
They like to do things that can not be done.
And if you say the magic words "it can not be done" - you are saved.
You just need to decide first - what you're ready to sacrifice.

Have a wonderful day..angel handshake thumbs up Grandkids are fun....
think of your grandson as a free gym membership as he will keep you busy and you can spend the money on fun things to do with him instead of going to the gym lol
(I just got wore out by several youngsters yesterday myself)
(PERFECT ANSWER)

give him a toy shovel and a bucket! tell him that you waint him to help you dig a pool in the back yard! And if he has that much energy who knows! you might get the swimming poool!lolrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
