The Dinner Table.........
When my kids were young and at home, dinner time was family time. Everybody at the dinner table at the same time. Talk of your day, jokes, school, news..... all took place as we sat together and ate. There was no eating in front of the TV, not in front of the video games, not in your room. We sat together. I thought this was the was all families ate dinner and was saddened one day to hear my daughter's friend say...."Do you eat dinner like this EVERY night? All we use our dinner table for is folding laundry."Now that my kids are all grown and living their own lives, I only get this special dinner time on the holidays, but it makes me smile that my kids have taken this family ritual to the next generation.
C'mon....sit at the dinner table with me....let's talk about our days, the news, whatever....
Could someone pass me the salt and pepper please???

Oh yeah, a little add-on. I just got invited to my sisters house and she will bake a ham or probably most likely get a "Honey Baked" ham. They're up in age and we will just sit there and gab about "things", but it's always a happy one!
