I must just live in the nicest town
in the US!!! SeriouslyI know I've written blogs before, about good things that have happened here in my small town in Ohio. I had presumed that these were extraordinary events that didn't happen everyday. Well, I'm beginning to think they DO happen every day...I'm just lucky enough to see a few
I went to the store today, just to pick up a few things. There is this store that is really reasonable in their prices, but if you use a card, you must use it as a direct debit card and must use your PIN number.
I picked up my few things (milk, butter, laundry soap and a treat for the dog). Came to about $10.00. I swiped my card and.......BAMMMM...my mind went blank...I couldn't remember my PIN number. Tried one and then another...nothing. I asked the cashier to just void out the sale as I didn't want to hold up the line....and walked over to the side to see if I had written it down somewhere in my purse. Anyway, the gentleman in line behind me, stepped up and said "I'll pay for it" and swiped his card. I told him it wasn't necessary...I have money, just no memory... He asked if I was sure, it wasn't a big deal. I assured him I was fine.....embarassed and grateful, but fine..... ( did remember my PIN and went back through line and did get my things just a few minutes after that)...
It's just a Saturday here....nothing special....no holiday...but nice and giving people seem to be everywhere I look...
