Recession-proof recipe : Tortilla noodles

Some of us have the bad habit of wasting food. Today i am going to teach you how to make delicious noodles with stale leftovers of tortillas. We all heard in childhood that money saved is money earned. I gues i can say now food saved is money earned. I always encourage people to give excess food to the needy.

Ingredients : 1. rotten or fresh tortillas 2. cabbage 3. capcicum 4. carrot 5. onion 6. ginger 7. black pepper 8. green chilly 9. tomato sauce 10. peanuts 11. salt as per taste 12. sugar as per taste 13. groundnut or sunflower oil 14. prawn

Recipe : 1. Fry the prawns in a sauce pan in 1 tsp oil first and then fry the tortillas. Though i use roti-s ( Indian bread ) for this recipe the closest match available outside India is none other than a tortilla.

2. Now roll the tortillas and shred or cut them to give the shape of noodles.

3. Fry the ginger and onion first and then fry other vegetables and also peanuts.

4. When the vegetables will become supple add black pepper and tortilla noodles and keep frying.

5. Add salt and sugar finally and serve with tomato sauce.

Give us this day our daily bread!
