Recipe of the month : anda ka bonda

With the rising cost of chicken, meat and fish, egg has become a trusted soldier in the common people's army. Today I will teach you anda ka bonda - though the nearest anglophonic equivalent is perhaps the egg pattie, but trust me, it is not! This dish is immensely popular in the southern region of the subcontinent and in north and east it is known as egg pakora and dimer chop respectively. You can enjoy it as a side ie accompanying dish or in the evening ie as a fill-in ie between lunch and dinner.

Boiled eggs - 4, gram flour - half cup, carom seeds - 1 tbsp, red chilly powder - half tsp, cumin powder - half tsp, salt and sugar to taste.

Prepare a batter of all the above ingredients by mixing water with them. Heat oil in a pan and fry the eggs in the batter.

And do not forget to say - I AM LOVING IT!!
