If you are talking about Alberta what say in Wikipedia, that is the history world is changed. Blessing or Burden is not there any more. USA is changed a lot since then. If it is me If I want to move I will move either blessing or Burden. Good luck with everything CMIbouquet bouquet I hope it will work for you.
America was founded by Europeans 3rd, 4th generations.

And the "Native American" almost exterminated.

So whoever wants to come to America with good intentions

A big Welcome.cheers
Bung, I agree with you....except, they must come here legally thru immigrations! Way to many have come America illegally! Like any country in the world, we should determine who comes here based on background checks! We don't need the criminal element etc.
Gentle

Now I agree with youhandshake
Immigration is ok but only if the host country can afford it and has the infrastructure to support the immigrants. It is no good to allow immigrants while your own people sit out of work as is happening here in SA.
confused dunno doh

Immigrants are needed...the population of the people in my country are getting older and we will need younger people to continue working...so immigration is one way of managing the retirement of people...to fill the void...not sure about USA and its need...
Hi I agree with all of handshake handshake
@loulou

being a canadian you know that the job situation is pretty bad! canada is also one of the worst recession hit countries.
@loulou

and if i were you, i would have advised people to make babies, instead of immigration. professor

Canada is not doing badly in the job department...better than the US...the US banks/institutions allowed their citizens to have mortgages with no money down...the housing market crashed and those people who had no down payment were forced to walk away...their economy is recovering...lessons were learned...Canadians faired well due to stringent laws in place that don't allow lenders to be so careless...
aj
We do not have enough young people to encourage having families...to fill this void!!!
Thank you, loulou.

So true all you say about Canada.
I have lived and worked in 5 countries worldwide including the US so I can tell the difference. I have friends, family, former colleagues in the US so I follow what goes on there.
I returned to Canada from the US just a few years ago.

O Canada......
