A 'Day' in my life.
Someone suggested why not make a video about a day in your life?I was dubious and thought it would be egotistical, but I was assured it would be watched. So I did it.
[I note you tube analytics shows an average of 35 people have watched my prior videos. Many just watched part of them and only a few watched the videos in entirety.]
I selected two 'simple' projects that need doing and decided I would make a one day video of me doing them. LoL, here it is day 4 and the second roject is only half done.
My camera is a pocket digital. It saves video in a large avi file. Very large for some reason. A ten minute video saved in avi format is over a gigabyte in size. Shouldn't be, but it is. Firmware in the camera, nothing I can do about that. So I convert each day's shoot to wmv format which shrinks it all down enormously making it practical to upload them to youtube.
A problem I hit is each day's video shoot requires about 6 hours of PC run time to convert the images to wmv format and edited down to 10 or 20 minutes each. That's with Windows Movie Maker (WMM).
Don't get me wrong. WMM does a good job (and it was free), but wow, it is slow to load the avi files and even slower to convert them once told to.
So anyway, somewhere, in each of the 3 days is 5 or 6 hours of time spent converting and editing 5 or 6 avi files into one wmv file suitable for upload.
A second nuisance I hit was since I had selected two back yard projects, I was rewarded with hours of rain at times I wanted to shoot the video. Yes, the camera is waterproof. However, my tools aren't and I am not sure I am either, so no video was filmed during rain showers. Therefore I have had hours of rain each day with nothing happening while the rain falls.
Indeed, even now it is raining, which is annoying, not only because I think I need one more video to complete the series, but also because it is supposed to go over 100 Fahrenheit (38 Celsius) once the rain stops. I would much rather be sitting under the air conditioner then.
Also somewhere in there I had two medical appointments and also a visiting Nurse decide to pop in. Those also disrupted filming.
I was hoping for some feedback from someone I shared them with, but silence.
So anyway, with some nervousness and trepidation, here is 'a day' in my life. Hopefully {perhaps) others will do this too.
The First Morning
Waiting for my Nurse
Repairing a truck tire
Attacking the mowers (day 2)
Attacking the trees
I hope it is not all too boring. One more to make I think to finish project 2 and 'the day.'

My honest feedback is I'm not sure how many will have a desire to watch let alone give feedback when an image of a deadly weapon serves as the entrance way into a day in your life. You shared you received silence. Silence can be a powerful and direct communicator.
Glad your keeping busy...lots of work to do on your property...your cats are too funny...drinking tap water...
Good idea to share your day through video...
loveallnite - Used tires are sold in the US as re-treads. Some last a long time, some go flat within a month. Over the decades most common in my observation is they start to peel or lose the re-tread. Sidewall patching is an emergency thing. I have done it twice and tried to keep it under 30 MPH going home from where the repair is made. In both cases I succeeded and the patch held long enough for me to acquire a new tire and mount it.
my policy is with tires and brakes they have your Life riding on them so they Must be in order, new tires versus a. mishap, new tirees. get my vote, brakes too, I change regulary to keep things safe .
this is entertaining and so natural I myself hate home
working lazy indeed I am
Luke, I work very hard at keeping everything in my life boring, or at least my definition of boring.
Footnote, just finishing an hour of sunbathing outside. The weather forecast of 100 in this area is probably correct. A very strong sun this afternoon. Hard to believe it was pouring rain at 10 this morning. I am inside and cooling down now. I will let the sun sink a little lower before exploring areas to be further mowed or filmed.
I so love your new style of blogging ...great place you have there...I'm having hard time watching the last 2 videos as I'm using my phone but this is so fun!
In case you need an extra hand there, let me know...I'm good at making lemonade while you're working with that tractor!
Very Cool!....
Your voice changes too! You sound different on the phone. And Skype!...
You can buy a DR Field & Brush mower here.
I see the low-wnd model is on sale for only $1,999.99 today.
My model is %3,099.
Their new top of the line one is $3,599.
I have two of them. The one in the video and an older model which has no reverse. I like the reverse capability on the newer ones. Sometimes you really don't want to mow down the bush with that hornet nest right in front of you.
They are great machines with quick change front ends attachments that allow snow throwing, plowing, finishing cuts, and even a stump grinder.
Thanks for sharing parts of your life with us. I think most of our lives are pretty simple and life seems very much about simply loving the gift of simplicity
We need to Skype again soon!!!
You still appeared like a six-month pregnant mom. Keep up your project, who knows you will appear like a six-pack man.
Joke aside, don't force yourself too much doing hard works, ok! and SAVE SOME OF THOSE BERRIES FOR ME!!
