As for manipulation;
Even the most innocent of children will use this tool. It is an integral part of everyday survival.
ME: I met this amazing guy, he's nice-looking, super-smart, and we connected immediately. He's got a mission in life, knows exactly where he's going and I can totally identify with his end goals, this is it, he could be the one, and he thinks exactly the same about me.

Many years ago I would say things to please people and it only made me look foolish. I finally made up my mind I do not need everyone to like me. Only the honest ones and I truly love to reciprocate that honesty!!
