modern woman

Dear friends I m writing a blog for the first time here and I thought it would be good subject to talk about; why is for the woman harder to get some higher position in society of any field especially in politics? I know,we womens are gently and less strongly physical then mens but also have brain wich is only falue in higher positions...I wonder and i v seen some facial moments when woman talk in public doh that s ok, but why are some reactions from side of mens like: oh,isn t she cute, dear. confused If you ask me-that s a litlle judgemental and not open mind.that s not real I think! instead,us must someone take seriosly.we are human beings too.head banger Personal, I dont have such problems luckyely but I notice it in todays society.

dunno

Fox,

I am not sure about your part of the world, but here in the U.S. women do get higher position jobs...and in politics. I think we may have our first woman president voted in this year.

But this transition is relatively recent...say in the last 20 years or so. I think women still get a paid a little less than men. This issue with lower wages is probably being corrected also...maybe lagging a little behind the progress of other areas concerning women.
BB...I think you might be on to something there. laugh
Men are more visual creatures, when they see attractive woman, they automatically wonder - what's underneath? - wow
...as if they have never seen it.laugh
Maybe because man never needed a days off for stomach cramp as a result of montly courses, and paid leaves for some months for child bearing ?

Anyhow, I was in position where all my subordinates is a man. One of our former president is a woman, named is Megawati. Some of our minister also woman.
why is for the woman harder to get some higher position in society of any field especially in politics?

Let me give it a shot'

Im sure you have the expression in your part of the world. about fire and water ' Good servant but bad master ...wink

Sad but true. sigh

it depend on your will power
@Calm Thanks!

I thought it was pretty powerful when I first saw it.
Women are the only ones who can give birth, and are usually the prime caregivers.

Employment and politics are geared towards a man's working life, not a woman's.

If a woman gives birth, and is back to work within two weeks, she is demonised for not being a good mother.

If she takes two years away from work to be with her child in its formative years, she is passed over for promotion, or seen as a liability who cannot be depended on.

There will never be parity of wages and employment as long as the system remains patriarchal.
Historically women are about protecting and nurturing the family and men are about providing for that family. Since the invention of effective contraception, women haven't been tied to a baby a year and can get more involved in the bigger picture. That's only 55 years, an eyeblink in traditional attitudes. Come a long way, long way still to go.
This gap between genders is going hardly ever to dissappear. It is mostly to blame women themselves. Most of women prefer to be driven than to be drivers.
When joined green party, a asked four ladies to join, too. Three of them said "have to ask my husband", one said "yes", but apologized later:" it is not for me really, i am not smart enough." sheep
women can be better team-players.
in family and business.

Men live more selfish
Off course this is a heavy generalisation.
Our new PM, Justin Trudeau has made the cabinet 50% women. First time in history. There is also more ethnic diversity. Now people are urging him to do the same in the senate. All of society should be represented.

Good, good news. cheers
thanks everyone for excangeing information. sure I know that there are women in politics on higher positions. :) i am aware of that. :) here in Bosnia we have a woman who is president of our goverment. i know that. the question remains; why it took so long time, throught years that women have their way throught politics and man contrary? And there we go, we can scent it in the air-not complete human rights! ok, that is a fact-society grows with the grow of human rights. mE..I m in quite high position, not the president but high. ha ha Here in Bosnia, we don t have problems with that cind, womens are equally respected as men in politics. grin

I like politics,it s not my life, but I m that brain type.lol head banger

And how i mentioned about human rightS and all that grow and discusion....ahh exciting!

it is interesting to talk about the facts in politics, inspiring and encouraging, as far as I can see. peace

Anyways my motto is: MAKE LOVE NOT WAR teddybear
