Blog VS Forums
I've been blogging here for years now and wasn't interested really in the forums. I read some posts there when I started blogging here, the nastiness put me off. It wasn't till few weeks ago when I decided to give it a try.I know some topics are not really meant here in the blogland so I posted a particular one there with the hope that bloggers won't read it there. Well, the first one who posted comment and most of those participated turned out to be the same people I'm bantering here on blogs!
Blogging is fun, a little bit more civilized than the forums.
Blogging is more easier, you don't have to click too many times to find the topic that would interest you.
Blogs are more conservative , forums are liberated
Blogs and Forums are both educational and fun places to be...
Can't really think of anything else to add at the moment so feel free write what's on your mind...
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Just takes up too much time......this is home...... ....
You Are A learned Lady
You fit in Blogs nd Forums Both..
Have A Happy Wednesday.
Now a topic creator can either ban or hide comments where obviously a blogger can either block comments or delete comments.
Often times forum posters create threads complaining about the hidden comments or being banned off someones thread(s).
Sometimes it is amusing.
Yes, I feel at home here too but Forums can be fun too...lots of fun members there too, they rarely participate on blogs but some flip here and there...
I guess it's territorial...I was kinda worried I crossed the boundary I shouldn't cross
I promised my BF weeks ago that I will stay away from here and start to mingle with people in real life....it's just so difficult, I'm home here
Thanks, you should try it too
as for variety, I think we can have it here too...it's the way members react and accepted it that sets the limitations here...I don't see it in the forums...people feel free to post there...here, you have to think hard before posting your thoughts
Totally agree with you...bloggers are more gentler and that explains a lot!
Well that happens here too...we have members here who don't post blog but actively participating...can we consider them "bloggers" too?
Please don't look for it... It would be best if you don't read it
Yes, blog community is more closer and friendlier than the forums...we seem to know each other well here and yes. there are plenty of weird topics in the forums but if you know how to handle them, can be fun too
Live! And Let Live.......
I don't get it...is it that bad there?
Where have you been? Have you been drinking these days?
I been very busy!
And this is water that I'm drinking. Duh!____
PS. It's suppose to be good for you!
I can't follow the comments if I don't know whose they are
Yes, water is good for you...keep drinking
what are you up to these days?
thanks for reading it was just for fun...my way of saying "may I come in? " to the forums
sorry
Manang means big sister with respect...we call those women older than us "Manang" as a sign of respect.
Ading means little sister...endearment in our culture...
It's rare to hear people in our country calling those older than them by their names...we address them with respect wherever we go...
Thanks! Given a chance I would love to see you
and you are welcome to come here too...I'll make sure you'll have great time here...lots of nice places to see, I know you will like them and we have fun night life here too...
Planning to go for picnic with friends this weekend...to places we've seen many times...Ajloun Castle and maybe a BBQ by the Dead Sea...
Petra is next on the list... You've got to see it
Good to see you
Yes, blog is blog...forum is forum...it depends on where you feel at home
How have you been ?
I hate to say this, but still waiting on video
I know it's coming
Give me 24 hours, let me figure out how to upload here
Can't really think of anything else to add at the moment so feel free write what's on your mind...
I believe the blogs are more about personal expression, rather than about interaction. You can interact on the blogs, of course, but the forum is more the designated public house with a community floor. A blog is more a soapbox, with commenting (and editing) privileges.
The blog rules clearly delineate the difference between Forum Threads and Blog Topics in rules 5 & 7
5.TITLES. Topic may not be a question.
7.Do not direct questions to viewers. Use the Forums for this.
I have decided not to allow comments on any further blog topics I may post – and to hope for interaction with my readers via direct messages here. My blog is about me basically gathering wool on a topic of my interest, and some commentators confuse that with the free-for-all nature of a forum topic. This behaviour defeats the purpose of one’s own blog.
The individual comments made on a Forum topic are indexed to one’s profile – unlike commenting on a blog. No one visiting my profile will be able to find this comment. But, were I commenting on a Forum Topic, my comment would be found easily on my profile page. This makes it useful by signaling out a quick answer to a topic that represents who I am as a person and the causes I keep, rather than writing a fully articulated and well thought out blog piece. I can literally quote another on the Forums and say “agree” or “disagree” in a topic and be done – whereas a blog is (for me) much more time intensive.
Interesting in blogging.
