How very true!
And we're losing them now at a rate of several thousand per day.
They'll be missed.
The last WWII vet in our vets' group is a 95 year old nurse who served in the ETO.
She later went to 'comedy school' (yes...really) & did standup.
We've dubbed her our Glamor Girl
She was photographed waving from the convertible during last year's Memorial Day Parade & the pic was picked up by the AP.
She's starting to plan her 100th
