A Kaleidoscope of Societal Malfunctions part 2

part 2

Not enough food. The world is starving and no Green revolution can supply surplus foods. Meats of all types must be imported by those that can pay. How soon before you start pulling your belts a notch or two tighter?
And as our collective unhappiness rises, crime rises. Women march. Blacks burn their slums and arm themselves. Kids confront and everyone worries about their safety.
All of u usage police, or demonstrators, or caught in between and more is to come. Your country acts like one more self-righteous monolith. Policing the world in the part it controls, in the name of one ideal or another, but in practice supporting dictators, suppressing people who want fresh air to breath as much as any of us all, with as much right; in practice taking, stealing vital resources from others claiming less than 7% of the world's population, consuming more than half of the world's productions...How long will this be allowed to continue...who's your next target nation to bomb and kill it's peoples?
Our collective societies may be much worse than a shambles. Certainly, in spite of inventions, the sciences, the progress, the 'magic' at our command, our problems are not growing less. Each year is worse than the one before it. Marches, demonstrations. Riots. Assassinations. Crime. Frustrations; malaise. General inability to cope; sides on the rise. We are all in a hell of a mess...
Head beatings and suppression are not solutions. Barricades are no solution. Bloody revolutions merely exchange one set of power brokers for another.
But the problems are real and immediate. Those that are hungry, unskilled, jobless, homeless, or simply chronically ill or unhappy, cannot be told to "Awww, shaaatup!" The over 100 million youths cannot be told to "Awww fukk off!" The over 100 million who are old and infirm cannot be ignored. The over 20 million who are black cannot be all killed by police or NRA fanatics or trailer park Klan members and supporters, or deported 'back to Africa', or subjugated economically at any cost short of your total ruin as anything approaching human beings. And so far we have no solutions. Merry the same old knee- jerk reactions of confrontation and suppression, then police bullets ( Would the military revolt is told to slaughter their own people..?)
There may be in fact no solutions...
We may be on the one way trip to total self annihilation...These just may be the last years of the humans, or the last bearable ones that any of us will know...wine

What period in known history has there not been injustice, inequality and division?

Yet the world continues.
Sad story indeed! sigh

Lighten up Karl...we're all living in the Matrix.grin
You truly forgot to add the undercover work that goes on to bring happiness in communities. no-one can solve the whole world problems but can only try in our own knowlkedge, sphere to make changes.

As humans we owe it to ourselves to make ourselves happy, if you wait for life itself to do it, make us happy that is grin we will die without a smile ever touching out lips laugh laugh lips
Good Blog but it starts with the Man in the Mirror. What am I doing to help the 70% of people who are starving and have not got clean water, basic sanitary, and those in Indian who are working a 14 hour day in Sweatshops that make certain cheap chain stores possible for us ?

I do not think there has ever been a time when there was such Greed ~ when so many in the Western world are
obese and on Diets.

The struggle for power and land has always gone on. Now we have Nuclear Arms and nutcases as in North Korea and dare I say it, the U.S.

I don't think it's good enough to just write about it, but I dislike glib comments that it has always gone on .

I feel ashamed, and even when you scratch the surface of 3rdWorld Aid agencies, you see the huge salaries and junkets.

Yes, it is time to look at the man [or woman] in the Mirror.

We also get who we vote for.

Woops ~ I see where my line about 'snide comments' could be misconstrued as a jibe at a fellow blogger....
I actually was getting at those who speak about starvation, wars, killings and say 'it has always gone on '
and also that the money given toward 3rd world aid 'never gets there ' which is an excuse for not giving... in my humble opinion.

I do accept that this has always gone on, but I do believe sincerely that things have not been this bad, and on such a worldwide scale.

Sorry if I seemed to take jab at anyone !!wink
Kattie forgot to say the colour is a peacful pink, yellow, and pastel green no blue for me laugh
Goddess, a humble plea to you. Save the mosquito and the black fly. Aa.

Hallo Redex!
I thought about it; all those volunteers from all the hospitals around the world, all these from the various orders of the Church who go into those infernos to try and bring the latest victims of 'liberation' any aid and comfort they can but in todays world they die along with the targeted peoples around the world...their organizations never go after those that plan it or carry it out. It simply is a waste of their spirits to allow them a basically pointless death as so many aid workers, nurses, doctors etc. perish trying to do their humane obligations. They also are worth saving by holding those responsible who create those conditions in the first place. They need to stop avoiding confrontations with those directing those events in the first place. It is groups together that can have a direct effect , not an individual. If terror is world wide some group directs it; plans it and yet they remain anonymous as the press is so tightly controlled at all levels and the slaughters continue ; some not reported for years or never ...bulldozers are brought in to erase all traces...'all spic 'n' span; all is fine, really...would we lie to you...'one old 'codeword' years ago was to bring in 'landscapers' or 'agrarian engineers' ....such lovely, neutral termssigh
So how can a caring heart help???? As you say they cant, and if i read you right they should be bystanders as they cannot do anything. NO NO NO i say.

there are others who can try and change the big things Governments, activists etc, but the volunteer has a place too whilst things change.

I could no-more just stand and watch a child die because i could not change the world.

Everyone single person on earth their actions have a knock on affect in small ways. Your does with this bleak blog i hope mine does with my comment on goodwill and hope.lips
