I say 'dropping out' for lots of things. 98% of my phone usage is via cellphone mostly to other people using cellphones and there are times where their audio doesn't come through clearly and I'll say "Your audio is dropping out, please repeat"
If I received all the necessary information from a meeting to achieve my goal and the conversation turns to BS, I'll politely thank the person (or people) and announce I'm dropping out to deal with something and excuse myself.
I've been dropping out of my blog participation. There is so much to do at home. My wife and I are spending weekends 45 miles away in Miami doing renovation projects that keeps us busy 2 days a week.
In previous blogs about drones and model helicopters, I found myself dropping out of drones for lack of time. Helicopters were my first love and I get more enjoyment spending an hour a week practicing. They are fully aerobatic, capable of performing loops, rolls and inverted flight. The only problem with that hobby is a loss of radio signal, mechanical failure or pilot error (often called dumb thumb movement) and a model will be dropping out of the sky!
Thanks for reading my blog...

I hear sirens again this morning... that reminds me they have lots of amenities at this condo. Games... golf, tennis, 3 swimming pools, shuffleboard, several clubhouses for all kinds of activities like cards and bingo.
But every morning the most popular game here is... (drum roll)

This is a great site, for many valid purposes. Sure, some shortcomings are here, but to me, these don't involve the choices of the discussions. The vast range of topics is important. Of course, one does have to sift through that which annoys, or otherwise doesn't suit. But even here, with patience, insight and willingness to gain self knowledge, such a deal, no? Great way to search and to vet, with an enormous net. Controlling, intolerant, closed minded snowflakes need not apply.
what a night with the horrible gusty winds blowing mightly everywhere...did not get much sleep so may just sleep today and go to a Mass tomorrow instead of midnight mass...am so tired...with the winds howling and everything shaking and sirens going off everywhere...we had tornadoes in r state like other places here in the usa....weird xmas time!!
I highly respect all of you who never married and live that long without getting insane.
I've been by myself a little over three years but feel like getting in and out of insanity incessantly.
I can't stand sitting in front of screen.
I'm back to mountain now.
See you all.

...As good as CS is in helping us vet away all the nutters and gold diggers, not to mention the truly dangerous sociopaths, as we cast our wide nets here, there's always more to DO, as in due diligence. So, in an effort to help the many thousands of females on CS who are dreaming of snatching up a catch like me, I thought I'd describe, in some detail, my very own neurotic morning routine. After all, as we age, our ways do become set somewhat, and as my pilot pals say, better to learn on the ground, than in the air. I sleep with the radio on low volume---mostly tuned into the Beeb, on short wave, or to right wing AM talk radio. I do get plenty of sleep, dozing off several times in any given night. There, now THAT should bring the thousands down to one or two intrepid souls. Coffee on, wash up, check the tides/weather, kisses from Bravo, warm up calisthenics, and then our morning 2-3 KM brisk walk. A few hours of of professional reading, music practice, writing, emails, CS, ham radio contacts follow. Then chores, which include work on vehicles, boat, home, garden, etc. I'm not exactly driven to adhere religiously to this schedule, but a partner shouldn't find it all to boring, distracting or tedious. More to follow.

....I'm sure it exists in all it's delightful essence elsewhere. But here in Maine for about a week or two, until the incredible exuberant growth of weeds and grasses, which then cover it over, we deal with lots of mud. We have mud boots, mud walkways, and even mud rooms. Never a mud festival, which is telling. Sort of like the final slap from the end of winter. And Bravo loves to roll around in it, so we have to keep him on the decks till we can brush or spray him off. Yuk.
