Free Pickup Today...

I usually do some online research before buying any products. That said, if I search for products that are available in store now, the search engine should actually show products that are... IN STORE NOW!
Not always the case, and many retailers rely on huge inventories that are shipped from remote warehouses and not all from one location. That's what I'm trying to avoid.

Many folks have become addicted to Amazon and their free delivery. I don't want to wait for many of the items I purchase. Give me something to touch and feel before I get out my debit card!

The memory foam mattress topper I wanted was not available in the local places I was shopping at and had to be ordered in. Three days shipped to my door. It was a little softer than I expected, but too much trouble to send back, wait for credit and order another.

Give me 'Brick & Mortar' before you give me debit!

YMMV

YMMV is an abbreviation for Your Mileage May Vary. I first heard this on a car advertisement as drivers all have different habits and an aggressive driver would not get the same results as someone who wasn't.
My car has been lunging on first gear acceleration. That appears to be a common complaint as I've read it on many bulletin boards about this model. I asked my mechanic about it and he confirmed what others have said... It's part of the computer module that controls gas/air mixture and cannot be changed. It's design was to comply with government fuel consumption and pollution.
Asked if I could used additives, fuel injector cleaner or a different grade of gasoline, his response was no, leave the car alone.

On the way back from Miami yesterday, I filled with mid-grade gasoline and noticed the lunging was reduced. Not eliminated, but overall, the car ran smoother! I also noticed the mileage computer readings were higher than normal. I was getting better than the rated EPA 34 mpg that is stated for this vehicle. Traffic was moderate and I maintained the 65mph speed limit.
So it's true... your mileage may vary...

Paris

She was excited about her trip to Paris. The plan was not planned so she sat several nights on her sofa daydreaming about it. She had never been to Paris. She only knew of travel shows and decor items glorifying the Eiffel Tower. There must be something to that grand tower, where lovers meet to kiss, fiance's are born, and lonely figures pray.

She thought about clothing for her trip. It is France, things must be sexy. Her first task of the day was the lingerie department of her favorite store. She gravitated toward the rack of satin cups and lace panties. "Should they match or be avant-garde? It is Paris" she thought to herself. After being practical and selecting 2 sets that could match or mismatch, she walked to the hosiery section. She walked with a little more confidence now, pretty things in hand.

She now stood before the racks of stockings. Garter belts are so passe, this is Paris! She stroked the packets of nylons, neatly packaged, settling on black thigh-highs. 'Black goes with everything', she thought. She felt giddy. Her bag was already half packed! She felt a tremor travel throughout her body. Could she endure the hours until touchdown on French soil?

The next day, wearing a mismatched pair, she opened the door. "Bonjour" she said.

To add a bit of fun to this, the Halloween season, here is a blog on palmistry.
Whether you believe it or not is irrelevant, it is all a bit of fun.

Bear with me, as it will be spread over a few posts as I cover the main lines.
It has been taken from if anybody wants to check out minor lines as well

1. The Heart Line
Sometimes also referred to as the love line, the heart line runs along the top of the palm just below the knuckles. You can read the heart line from the little finger to the index finger or in the reverse direction.

The heart line is believed to demonstrate your romantic perspectives, your cardiac health, and your innate emotional stability.
You can determine more specific information with a closer look at the placement and the shape of this all-important line.
A line that begins below your index finger shows that you’re content with your love life.
A line that begins below your middle finger tells that you’re selfish in areas of love.
A line that begins in the middle of your hand means that you fall in love easily.
A short and straight line indicates that you have less interest in romance than many people.
A long and curvy line shows that you freely express your thoughts and feelings.
A line that touches your life line means that your heart is broken easily.
A line that runs straight and parallel to your head line demonstrates your good control of your emotions, your stability, and your approachable demeanour.
A line curving upward shows your verbal dexterity and your ability to speak about love and feelings.
A line curving downward, however, indicates your inability to express your feelings and your weak character.
A wavy line represents your many relationships but your lack of serious relationships.
A circle, also called an island, on your line marks sadness or depression in your life.
If your love line has many circles, making it look like an iron chain, you are sentimental and potentially involved in many emotional entanglements.
A broken line indicates that you have undergone emotional trauma.
Smaller lines crossing your heart line demonstrate further emotional trauma.
A doubled love line shows that you’re especially good at expressing love and that you’re capable of accepting two different relationships at once.

They are coming to South Florida by the truckloads...

It's the start of the season. Trucks used to transport cars are offloading vehicles at many of the country club communities around here. Luxury cars they are!
Rather than driving for 2 days with mileage and hotel along the way, these snow birds choose to catch a jet while their cars get dropped off saving thousands of miles.
I'm seeking all kinds of cars... but BMW, Lexis and Mercedes seem to be their favorites.

Yes... They are coming to South Florida by the truckloads...

Are the elite/powerful becoming held accountable now?

With Epstein, Pharmaceutical companies, vape smoking, and now oil companies?

dunno

If so, maybe there is much more to come...and a lot more changes about to be made.

What do you think?

Are there any other big companies/elites that should be held accountable and for what?

I think that cigarettes should have never been allowed to be sold.

Perhaps products high in sugars should have been examined closer? dunno

But really, CS folks, what is it to be rich?...

...and are there definite downsides of such? Years ago, any mono millionaire here in the beloved USA, indeed anyone with $100 large clear, no debt, their own home, a car, and caring for the family needs---hopefully also having a charitable side---was often thought of as rich. But with books like the millionaire next door, things have changed. Earn more than this amount yearly, and living in a modest country home in Iowa, and you were likely to be thought of as a fat cat. Not so in Maanhattan, and many parts of CA and NJ, esp. today. Many grounded folks try to follow the concept of "enough" here. Present company included. And the downsides of great wealth? Many might see this as oxymoronic. But I know of many examples.

Shhh.... what's that sound?

It's so quiet as though the rest of the international blogging community at CS has taken a vacation.

All things being equal, I worked from 10 to 10. Client meetings, placing orders and pricing a few new jobs.

Salmon dinner made me forget how much my feet hurt.
